CANBERRA, AUSTRALIA, June 24, 2026 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Helen J. Bennett has been selected for inclusion in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

Ms. Bennett has led a distinguished career marked by decades of resilience, adaptability and a commitment to excellence across the defence, government and private sectors. Her professional journey began at age 17 when she joined the Australian Army, serving full-time for 21 years and continuing with an additional 15 years in the Army Reserve. This extensive military background provided her with a strong foundation in leadership, project management and operational strategy, shaping her approach to subsequent roles in both public and private organisations.

Currently, Ms. Bennett serves as the land and other account manager at Amentum, where she is responsible for managing complex client relationships, responding to bids — including those exceeding $250 million — and ensuring that clients receive the right resources at the right time with the appropriate skill sets. Working with suppliers that include Australian companies with United States connections, she delivers equipment and personnel solutions internationally in support of various defence and manufacturing projects. Her role also involves collaborating with clients to solve multifaceted challenges, reflecting her ability to look at opportunities strategically and assemble effective teams for implementation.

Prior to joining Amentum, Ms. Bennett was the CPS client engagement manager at Jacobs from 2021 to 2024; following the consulting company's merger with Amentum's government division she held the same title. Her tenure throughout this time included managing client portfolios and overseeing successful program delivery during a period of significant organisational change.

From 2019 to 2021, Ms. Bennett worked as a management consultant at Jacobs, where she leveraged her defence experience to advise on business transformation initiatives as well as governance and assurance frameworks. In 2018, she was a gateway reviewer for the New Zealand Government (New Zealand Defence Force), providing critical assessments of major projects. That same year, she worked as a senior project manager for the Australian government and as an enterprise change manager for the Department of Defence of Australia, where she led organisational change efforts in records management and web development.

Earlier in her career, Ms. Bennett excelled in multiple roles throughout a seven-year tenure at Certor Pty Ltd. Providing strategic guidance on project deliveries while honing her leadership skills, she excelled as the company's SharePoint programme manager from 2015 to 2017, senior project manager from 2014 to 2015, and director and senior consultant from 2010 to 2013.

From 2008 to 2010, Ms. Bennett gained valuable leadership experience as the senior project and program manager at Connexxion Business Solutions. Her experience also includes serving as a project manager at BAE Systems from 2006 to 2008 and project director and manager for the Department of Defence from 2004 to 2006.

Hailing from an equally accomplished academic background, Ms. Bennett earned a Bachelor of Business in business administration and management from the University of Queensland in 2006. Dedicated to the ideals of continuous learning, she is certified as an information systems security professional (CISSP) by Charles Sturt University, in Agile project management foundations by APMG International and in change management by Prosci. Earlier in her journey, she earned certificates in workplace training and assessment as well as diplomas in government contract management, project management, communications intelligence and gateway review.

Ms. Bennett's military service included deployment to East Timor while also raising three children as a single parent, a testament to her resilience amid adversity. During this period, her children were cared for by her mother, an ex-schoolteacher. Despite facing criticism rooted in societal double standards regarding parental responsibilities, she persevered through challenges such as loss of seniority due to maternity leave policies and navigating a male-dominated environment where she encountered skepticism about her capabilities. Nevertheless, she excelled as a middle manager within field force units and participated actively in exercises that honed her leadership skills.

A notable milestone in Ms. Bennett's post-military career came before she joined Amentum, when she managed a significant backend information communications technology project. She was responsible for writing the ministerial submission that secured cabinet funding for this initiative and subsequently oversaw every aspect of the project over two and a half years through to completion — a rare accomplishment within defence circles. The project was ultimately delivered on time and finished 8% under budget.

Though she is proud of her own successes, Ms. Bennett takes particular pride in supporting colleagues who face redundancy by helping them secure new positions within their organisations — a contribution she finds deeply rewarding. Over the years, she has saved several jobs by placing employees into new roles that match their skills and experience.

Also known for her strong commitment to community service, Ms. Bennett is a monthly donor to Australian Flying Doctors, has sponsored Royal Guide Dogs Australia for four years, donates regularly to Amnesty International and supports an Australian charity that supports veteran well-being.

Ms. Bennett's achievements have seen her recognised through several honors over the years, including the International Force East Timor (INTERFET) Medal, the Australian Active Service Medal, and her appointment as officer commanding.

Outside of her professional life, Ms. Bennett cherishes spending time with her children and is an avid reader who enjoys running, playing video games, attending live music events, exploring new restaurants and international travel.

In the coming years, Ms. Bennett aspires to make a positive impact wherever she works while serving as a role model for women who are navigating similar challenges. Her enduring work ethic is grounded in collaboration, bringing together individuals with complementary skill sets and recognising their unique contributions — a philosophy that continues to define her service and leadership style.
