A lifelong believer in the power of creativity, connection, and community, Sarah earned dual undergraduate degrees from Chatham University in 2004 before completing dual graduate studies at Springfield College, where she earned a Master of Science in Clinical Art Therapy and Mental Health Counseling in 2007. Long before wellness became a buzzword, Sarah was exploring how art, play, and human connection could help people navigate life's most difficult moments.

During her training, she worked with children through play and art therapy, facilitated therapeutic art groups for adults, and developed an art as healing intervention for older adults living with dementia. Even then, her focus was clear: helping people rediscover their strengths, dignity, and sense of possibility.

Throughout her career, Sarah has worn many hats: clinician, educator, mentor, advocate, and entrepreneur. She has worked in community mental health, substance use treatment, higher education, and private practice, always guided by a belief that healing happens best when people feel safe, valued, and understood. As an adjunct professor at Springfield College, she helped train the next generation of therapists, sharing practical approaches for supporting individuals with complex needs and diverse life experiences.

In 2013, Sarah founded Creative Art Therapies and Wellness, LLC with a vision that extended beyond providing therapy services. She wanted to create a community where both clients and clinicians could thrive. Today, the organization is known for its commitment to clinician wellbeing, mentorship, creativity, and sustainable mental health care, an approach rooted in Sarah's belief that when therapists are cared for, clients receive better care.

Licensed in Massachusetts since 2011 and recognized as a professional art therapist, Sarah continues to support clients while mentoring emerging clinicians and developing future leaders in the mental health field. Her professional affiliations include the American Art Therapy Association, the Massachusetts Mental Health Counselors Association, and the Western Massachusetts Substance Abuse Providers Association.
