Before his current role, Dr. DePorter was the consulting dental director at Pacific Resources Benefits Advisors, LLC from 2016 to 2021. There, he played a pivotal role in guiding national dental policy and benefits design, further cementing his reputation as an expert in the field.

Recruited to Centene Dental Services after a significant tenure leading DePorter Consulting Group Inc. as the company's president and managing consultant between 1998 and 2019, Dr. DePorter provided strategic guidance to clients across the dental benefits landscape. He notably owned the company from 1998 to 2019.

Dr. DePorter was a managing partner at Brio Consulting Partners LLC, a management consulting firm in West Palm Beach, Florida, between 2004 and 2011, where he contributed to innovative solutions in health care consulting. His previous experience as the chief operating officer at V-Ha.com from 2000 to 2002 allowed him to leverage technology in advancing dental services.

Among his earlier leading roles, Dr. DePorter excelled as a regional vice president of sales and marketing at CompBenefits between 1999 and 2000. He also served as a vice president at CIGNA Dental from 1994 to 1998, following his tenure as the general manager of dental and major medical products at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts between 1991 and 1994.
