ORLANDO, FL, July 09, 2026 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Edgar Vicente Castilla has been selected for inclusion in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
Marked by more than two decades of multidisciplinary engineering leadership, Mr. Castilla has built a career distinguished not by specialization, but by the integration of disciplines that have traditionally evolved independently. Throughout his professional journey, he has progressively combined electronics, communications, architectural acoustics, sustainable construction, environmental engineering, renewable energy, and intelligent systems into unified engineering solutions designed to improve infrastructure performance, resilience, and sustainability.
Mr. Castilla is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of ABBA Nexus, an intelligent energy architecture and autonomous infrastructure company established in Orlando, Florida, in 2025. Under his leadership, the company is advancing next-generation infrastructure technologies that integrate distributed energy systems, artificial intelligence, resilient computing, communications, environmental control, and autonomous operation into unified engineering platforms designed for residential, commercial, industrial, emergency response, defense, and future AI infrastructure applications.
Rather than approaching buildings, energy systems, communications, and artificial intelligence as independent engineering disciplines, Mr. Castilla has devoted his career to understanding how they interact as components of a single integrated infrastructure ecosystem. This multidisciplinary philosophy has become the defining characteristic of his professional work and continues to guide the technological direction of ABBA Nexus.
Alongside his work at ABBA Nexus, Mr. Castilla has served as CEO Founder of ABBA Padre Soluciones SAS, headquartered in Bolívar, Colombia, since 2011. Through the company, he has led the development of specialized engineering projects integrating sustainable construction, architectural acoustics, passive thermal control, renewable energy, advanced building materials, and environmentally responsible design. His work has contributed to educational institutions, museums, convention centers, hotels, industrial facilities, theaters, and public infrastructure projects throughout Colombia, helping advance the practical application of sustainable engineering within large-scale architectural environments.
Earlier in his career, Mr. Castilla served as Project Manager at Remodelar Ltda. in Cartagena, Colombia, where he supervised complex engineering and construction projects between 2003 and 2010. During this period, he became one of the early professionals in Colombia to integrate lightweight construction systems, passive environmental control, architectural acoustics, and bioclimatic engineering into institutional developments. His work demonstrated that thermal efficiency, acoustic performance, and environmental sustainability could be addressed simultaneously through integrated engineering rather than isolated design disciplines.
Among the projects completed during this stage of his career were the Las Américas Hotel Convention Center, the Cartagena Convention Center, major developments for Universidad del Norte, Museo Mapuka, Radio Uninorte, INVEMAR, Comfenalco Cartagena Cedesarollo, Tecnar University, and cultural facilities including the historic Teatro Colón in Bogotá. These projects contributed to advancing sustainable construction practices by integrating environmental performance, thermal efficiency, architectural acoustics, and innovative building materials into large-scale institutional architecture.
Recognizing that acoustics, heat transfer, and energy efficiency are fundamentally interconnected expressions of the same physical principles, Mr. Castilla expanded his academic preparation by earning a Master of Engineering in Architectural and Environmental Acoustics from Universitat Ramon Llull in Barcelona, Spain. His graduate studies strengthened the scientific foundation supporting years of professional experience while reinforcing a multidisciplinary engineering philosophy that continues to define his work today.
Mr. Castilla's expertise in architectural acoustics and electroacoustic engineering led to collaboration with Bose Corporation's engineering and product development teams in Framingham, Massachusetts, supporting the technical evaluation and regional implementation of advanced professional sound reinforcement technologies throughout Latin America. His work focused on the practical application of acoustic wave behavior, frequency sequencing, phase alignment, phase cancellation, and directional cardioid low-frequency array design to optimize system performance while minimizing unwanted acoustic propagation in complex architectural environments.
Working alongside Bose engineering teams, Mr. Castilla contributed technical recommendations, acoustic system evaluations, and implementation strategies for professional reinforcement platforms, including the RoomMatch® loudspeaker system, whose engineering concepts later evolved into the ShowMatch® product family. His experience included designing and recommending these technologies for theaters, auditoriums, museums, convention centers, educational institutions, houses of worship, and other performance venues throughout Latin America, successfully bridging architectural acoustics with advanced electroacoustic engineering.
As renewable energy technologies matured, Mr. Castilla expanded his engineering practice into distributed energy systems throughout the United States. Between 2020 and 2025, he led teams responsible for the deployment of more than 700 Tesla Powerwall battery systems across Florida, contributing to one of the state's largest residential battery storage implementation efforts during a period of accelerated growth within the renewable energy sector. His work also included integrated solar-plus-storage solutions designed to improve residential resilience while supporting the broader transition toward distributed clean energy infrastructure.
Throughout every stage of his career, Mr. Castilla has maintained a consistent engineering philosophy: complex problems are best solved through the convergence of knowledge rather than through increasing specialization. This progression—from electronics and communications to architectural acoustics, sustainable construction, renewable energy, and intelligent infrastructure—ultimately led to the development of his concept of Energy Architecture, an engineering methodology in which energy generation, storage, environmental control, communications, and intelligent decision-making are designed as components of a single integrated infrastructure system.
Today, this philosophy serves as the technological foundation of ABBA Nexus, where Mr. Castilla is leading the development of intelligent infrastructure architectures designed to integrate distributed energy systems, resilient communications, environmental control, artificial intelligence, and autonomous deployment into scalable engineering platforms. His current research focuses on improving infrastructure resilience, computational efficiency, and energy performance while supporting the rapidly evolving demands of next-generation artificial intelligence applications.
Mr. Castilla earned a Bachelor of Science in Electronic Engineering from Universidad Tecnológica de Bolívar in Cartagena, Colombia, in 2003. Throughout his career, he has continued expanding his expertise through advanced professional development in project management, communications engineering, renewable energy systems, architectural acoustics, sustainable construction, and intelligent infrastructure. His multidisciplinary background has enabled him to bridge scientific research with practical engineering implementation across multiple industries.
Outside of his professional responsibilities, Mr. Castilla has maintained a longstanding commitment to community service as a couples leader with Iglesia Confraternidad Cristiana since 2004. In addition to his engineering career, Mr. Castilla holds a Doctorate in Theological Sciences and is a commissioned Chaplain for the State of Florida through the International Association of Chaplains (AIC). A devoted husband and father of three children, he believes that technological innovation should ultimately serve people and communities, a principle that continues to guide both his professional and personal endeavors.
Looking toward the future, Mr. Castilla intends to continue advancing multidisciplinary engineering solutions capable of integrating intelligent infrastructure, distributed energy, resilient computing, and artificial intelligence into unified systems that redefine how critical infrastructure is designed, deployed, and operated. Through ABBA Nexus, he remains committed to developing technologies that contribute to a more resilient, sustainable, and intelligent future.
