In addition to these responsibilities, Ms. McCarty's role encompasses coaching leaders and developing talent across the organization, promoting industry best practices and encouraging engagement with local and national human resources chapters such as the Society for Human Resource Management and the Austin Human Resource Management Association. She maintains an open-door policy to provide mentorship and guidance to employees, ensuring that the human resources department remains a resource-focused entity integrated into daily operations. Known for her servant-leadership philosophy, Ms. McCarty believes Human Resources should be a strategic business partner that empowers employees, develops leaders, and helps organizations achieve exceptional business results.

Ms. McCarty is also the principal managing partner of The HR Dispensary, a consulting firm she founded in 2024. Her consulting practice focuses on helping organizations strengthen leadership, improve organizational culture, navigate complex employee relations matters, strengthen HR compliance practices & programs, optimize HR technology, HR best practices and create high-performing workplaces.

From 2022 to 2024, Ms. McCarty held the position of Chief People Officer for The Savings Group that became the umbrella for RateGenius Loan Services, AutoPay Direct and Tresl. The organization emerged through a merger and acquisition, bringing together several well-established automotive refinance brands under a single enterprise. Through strategic HR leadership, change management, culture development, leadership coaching, and the establishment of scalable HR infrastructure, she successfully unified the organization while transforming Human Resources into a strategic business partner represented at the executive leadership table.

From 2015 to 2022, Ms. McCarty held the position of vice president of human resources at RateGenius Loan Services and its subsequent iterations under AutoPay Direct and before becoming part of The Savings Group. She remained with the company through its acquisition by a private equity firm and its eventual merger and rebranding as The Savings Group where her leadership and business acumen led to her promotion to Chief People Officer. Her leadership helped establish a culture recognized repeatedly as one of Austin's Best Places to Work by the Austin American-Statesman—an award based entirely on confidential employee feedback. The recognition reflected her long-standing belief that exceptional business results begin with exceptional workplace cultures.

Ms. McCarty's earlier career includes an extensive tenure at EZCORP Inc., where she advanced through several roles over sixteen years. She began as regional human resources manager in Denver in 1999 before relocating to Austin as corporate human resources manager from 2000 to 2002. She then served as director of human resources between 2002 and 2006 and senior regional human resources director from 2006 to 2015. During her time at EZCORP, she contributed to strategic initiatives and served on the EZCORP Foundation Steering Committee between 2013 and 2015.

Prior to her work at EZCORP, Ms. McCarty was an employee relations manager at Landry's Seafood House in Houston between 1998 and 1999. She began her career as regional human resources manager for Genuine Parts Company in Houston from 1995 to 1998.

Since joining Gravity Lending, Ms. McCarty has helped guide the organization through a period of rapid expansion, partnering with executive leadership to strengthen organizational effectiveness, leadership development, employee engagement, and scalable human resources practices while supporting rapid organizational growth and significant workforce expansion.

Throughout her career spanning more than three decades, Ms. McCarty has developed expertise in employee relations, strategy development, process improvement, management culture and legal compliance within human resources. Her ability to foster strong organizational cultures is exemplified by her establishment of engagement committees at both RateGenius and Gravity Lending. These committees focus on employee engagement, community involvement and promoting active lifestyles through high-participation company wide events, wellness initiatives and community outreach programs.

Ms. McCarty's academic foundation includes a Bachelor of Business Administration with a minor in marketing from the University of Houston-Clear Lake, earned in 1994. She credits her success to her energy and passion for the field of human resources, as well as to her dedication to continuous learning — qualities that have earned the trust of executive leaders throughout her career. Her expertise in employment law, compliance, and proactive risk management has helped organizations strengthen workplace practices while minimizing legal risk and fostering fair, inclusive, and compliant work environments.

Beyond her professional achievements, Ms. McCarty has demonstrated a strong commitment to civic engagement. She served on the board of trustees for The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society's Central Texas chapter from 2017 to 2021 and participated as a committee member for the EZCORP Foundation Steering Committee between 2013 and 2015. She has supported charitable organizations including Light The Night for The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society since 2010, the MS Society and St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
