ST. LOUIS, MO, July 16, 2026 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Crystal M. Alber CRNA, APRN, has been selected for inclusion in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

Since founding Aesthetically Pleasing in 2018, a boutique medical spa serving the St. Louis area, Crystal Alber has established herself as a respected clinician, business leader, and trusted provider in the field of medical aesthetics. By blending science with artistry, she has built a practice dedicated to delivering personalized, results-driven treatments in a warm and welcoming environment. As founder and clinician, she oversees all aspects of the business, including patient care, clinical operations, strategic planning, and organizational growth.

Under her leadership, Aesthetically Pleasing has earned a reputation for exceptional patient care, natural-looking results, and a personalized approach to aesthetic medicine. Her philosophy centers on enhancing each patient's unique features rather than changing their physical appearance, Crystal strives to empower individuals to embrace their natural beauty with confidence.

Crystal's journey to entrepreneurship was shaped by extraordinary resilience. During the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, while simultaneously navigating a breast cancer diagnosis, subsequent treatment, and a long recovery, she opened her first office door in 2020. Armed with little more than a vial of Botox, determination, and a vision for the future, she cared for a small but loyal group of patients after long hospital shifts and on weekends.

As demand for her expertise grew, so did her practice. What began in a shared treatment room evolved into a dedicated office space, and by mid-2022, she made the courageous decision to leave her full-time hospital position and devote herself full-time to Aesthetically Pleasing. That leap of faith transformed a side business into a thriving medical spa built on clinical excellence, authentic patient relationships, and transformative aesthetic outcomes.

Crystal's skill, artistry, and contributions to medical aesthetics have earned her numerous accolades and recognitions. She received the prestigious Top 2% Master Injector Award from the Foundation for Aesthetic Medical Excellence in 2024, 2025, and 2026. Additional honors include Best Medical Aesthetic Clinic from the Lafayette Township Awards in 2025 and 2026, Best Aesthetic Injector in St. Louis from Best of Best Review in 2025, and the 2025 Evergreen Award for Best Medical Aesthetic Clinic. These distinctions reflect her unwavering dedication to clinical excellence, patient-centered care, and outstanding aesthetic results.

Before launching Aesthetically Pleasing, Crystal served as Chief CRNA at a local Barnes-Jewish Hospital, where she gained invaluable experience in leadership, management, and team development. She credits this role with teaching her important lessons about resilience, boundaries, and the importance of prioritizing personal well-being.

Earlier in her career 2004-2008, she worked as a critical care nurse in the intensive care unit at Missouri Baptist Medical Center, obtaining the coveted CCRN certification and serving as rapid response team and code leader. Although, her healthcare career officially began at St. Anthony's Medical Center in 2001 (now Mercy Health) where she worked as a nursing assistant which laid the foundation for her future success in advanced practice nursing.

However, it was a high school volunteer project at St. Mary's Hospital that initially sparked her interest in healthcare. She found inspiration through the mentorship of a nurse anesthetist, an experience that ultimately shaped her career path and motivated her to obtain a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Missouri–Columbia in 2003 and then follow in her mentor's footsteps to earn a Master of Science in Anesthesia from Webster University in 2011.

While working full-time providing anesthesia, she pursued advanced training in aesthetic medicine, traveling throughout the United States to learn from some of the nation's leading aesthetic providers before opening Aesthetically Pleasing in 2018.

Beyond her professional accomplishments, Crystal has made community service and advocacy a central part of her life. As a breast cancer survivor, she is passionate about supporting women facing similar journeys and has dedicated time to creating resources for cancer survivors. Her efforts have been informed by her own experiences seeking innovative therapies, including myofascial release techniques, when traditional treatment approaches did not fully address her recovery needs.

Outside of her professional life, Crystal enjoys spending time with her husband, Rick, their daughter, Teagan and the family pets. She is a lover of animals and enjoys traveling and exploring new places often with her pets in tow. Hobbies include, hiking, bicycling, and boating. She finds serenity on water and often retreats to a river, lake or ocean to recharge. While not outdoors, she enjoys interior design, personally curating the beautifully decorated and welcoming office space at Aesthetically Pleasing, calling it her "labor of love".

Reflecting on her success, she credits the unwavering support of her husband, Rick, who played an integral role in building the business, as well as the encouragement of friends and mentors who inspired her pursuit of purpose, stating, "I could not have done this without him, he is my everything. He has supported me through years of intense academic studies, has physically built, assembled, wired or installed every aspect of my practice, and has loved me through all of the ups and downs".

Looking ahead, Crystal is committed to bridging the gap between traditional medicine and complementary therapies for breast cancer survivors. She envisions creating collaborative networks among surgeons, specialists, and patients while expanding access to non-traditional services such as post-surgical rehabilitation, nipple tattooing and restorative therapies through nonprofit initiatives.

In addition to her personal and professional endeavors, Crystal maintains active memberships in several industry organizations, including the American Association of Nurse Anesthesiology, the Missouri Association of Nurse Anesthesiologists, and the American Med Spa Association.

As she looks toward the future, Crystal plans to expand her nonprofit organization, A Thriving Chance, which is dedicated to supporting female breast cancer survivors through post-surgical rehabilitation, restorative therapies, and holistic wellness initiatives. She hopes to one day offer retreats designed to restore the whole person, mind, body, and the soul after cancer while fostering connection, healing, and personal growth.

Through her dedication to patient care, entrepreneurial success, advocacy, and service, Crystal M. Alber continues to make a lasting impact on her profession and community. Her resilience, compassion, and commitment to helping others will undoubtedly remain hallmarks of her enduring legacy.
