In this capacity, she writes and publishes inspirational books, speaks at public events, hosts small groups and mentors individuals experiencing grief in the wake of loss.

Writing equally moving, compelling and uplifting stories about life's triumphs and challenges — many of which stem from her own experiences with loss and the power of faith — some of Ms. Gray's published books include "Blessed in the Midst of the Storm," released in 2015, and "My Journey at 30" and "A Teen's Guide to Succeed in High School," both released in 2012.

Ms. Gray also began her journey as a singer-songwriter in 2013, further expanding her mission to inspire audiences worldwide through soulful R&B and Gospel-inspired original songs including "I'm Still Blessed," "Get Lifted Up" and "Love of the Music."

In addition to her creative endeavors, Ms. Gray spent eight years working as an administrative assistant at NASA Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, Maryland, where her responsibilities included supporting daily functions and contributing to the organization's long-term goals in the space research and operations sector.

In 2014, Ms. Gray held the position of assistant salon leader and manager at Haircuttery, where she oversaw salon operations as well as staff management. The previous year, she served as a front desk agent at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in the Washington DC-Baltimore area, guiding her fellow veterans toward the programs and social services they sought.

Ms. Gray's own military service is a cornerstone of her professional history; she joined the United States Army Reserve at age 19 while attending cosmetology school and working two jobs to support her education. From 1997 to 1999, she served as an automated logistical specialist with her unit across South Carolina and Virginia before reenlisting for active duty in 2006. During her three years of active duty at Fort Hood, Texas, she deployed to South Korea and worked in program operations, file security and inventory maintenance. After 11 successful years in uniform, she received an honorable discharge.

Dedicated to the ideals of continuous learning and growth, Ms. Gray is currently pursuing a Doctor of Business Administration in organizational leadership at Capella University. Earlier in her journey, she earned a Master of Science in entertainment business from Full Sail University in 2014 and a Bachelor of Arts in strategic communications with a concentration in public relations from Temple University in 2012. She also holds an associate degree in general studies from Central Texas College, awarded in 2008.

To augment her knowledge and qualifications, Ms. Gray is certified as a joy restoration coach and stress relief coach, both of which have enabled her to guide others through difficult healing processes rooted in her own experiences overcoming adversity. She also completed the speaker academy certification and became a master educator through Empire Beauty School in 2010, which informed her later work as a salon manager. Additionally, she holds certificates in production, videography and editing from DCTV that have guided her various artistic endeavors.

The foundation instilled in Ms. Gray by her parents, both of whom emphasized integrity and honesty, has been central to her personal growth and professional success. She credits putting God first as essential to her character development and achievements. After obtaining her undergraduate degree at Temple University while transitioning out of military service, she was inspired to pursue entrepreneurship and authorship. Having written most of her first book during college, she founded Dynamic Destiny Enterprises to realize her vision of building multiple streams of income rather than following a single career path. Her coaching certifications followed as she felt called to extend her message of faith and empowerment beyond writing into speaking engagements.

Also known for her extensive civic involvement, Ms. Gray is actively engaged with her church community as an outreach team member, small group leader and host for book and Bible study groups. Drawing on her significant personal experiences with loss, she has facilitated support groups for women who have experienced miscarriages, stillbirths or early term births. Furthermore, she previously served as a community service representative for a military sorority.

In honor of her exemplary leadership, compassion and devotion to helping others, Ms. Gray has been recognized through several accolades including being named a finalist in the Miss Veteran America Competition in 2017, receiving the Kingdom Scholarship from the Joy Restoration Coach Program School and earning Floor Board of the Year honors from her military sorority.

Happily married and the proud mother of one child, Ms. Gray maintains an active lifestyle outside of work through hobbies such as skating, painting, line dancing, walking and watching comedy films.

Reflecting on her storied journey to date, Ms. Gray considers her most meaningful achievement to be persevering through multiple devastating losses within three years — experiences that tested but did not break her resolve. Rather than surrender to despair after losing loved ones and facing personal tragedy while she was deployed in South Korea, she sought counseling, support groups and spiritual guidance to rebuild herself. She defines herself as an overcomer whose motto is that quitting is not an option; continuing to pursue her goals despite trauma has been both a blessing and a miracle, and she continues to inspire others facing hardship to do the same.

Determined to further her impact in the coming years, Ms. Gray intends to complete a doctoral degree at Capella University while expanding her coaching programs to serve more clients with each 12-week cycle. She hopes to see her book "Blessed in the Midst of the Storm" become a bestseller — which would represent its resonation with readers facing adversity — and envisions uniting all aspects of her business ventures into one cohesive enterprise that encompasses retreats, workshops, travel offerings and speaking engagements.
