From 2009 to 2013, Dr. Chullum managed a Walmart pharmacy in Wolcott, Connecticut. Her foundational year of pharmacy practice residency training took place at Ochsner Clinic Foundation (now Ochsner Medical Center) in New Orleans, Louisiana, from 2003 to 2004. Dr. Chullum's academic background is equally distinguished. She earned a Doctor of Pharmacy from the College of Pharmacy at the University of Louisiana Monroe in 2003 after completing a Bachelor of Applied Science at McNeese State University in 1999. She earned repeated placement on the dean's list, along with academic awards for persistence and excellence during high school. Additionally, she holds an MSL certificate in pharmaceutical sciences, a certification in medication therapy management, a medical affairs certification and designation as a prior authorization certified specialist. She has furthered her professional standing as a member with the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO), the Medical Science Liaisons Team and the Pharmacists Healthcare Organizations.

Reflecting on her career, Dr. Chullum attributes much of her success to her self-driven nature and the adversities she faced growing up as a refugee who immigrated to the United States in 1990 to escape genocide. Settling initially in New Orleans, Louisiana, she experienced further displacement during Hurricane Katrina—events that shaped her resilience and commitment to serving others. These challenges fostered a love for learning, science and helping others while prompting her to develop emotional intelligence and soft skills that have enriched both her personal life and professional relationships. Today, her achievements have been recognized through numerous awards, including the most recognized pharmacist and the number one leader in the district, Canada.

Outside her professional work, Dr. Chullum's civic engagement is extensive. She has contributed time and expertise as a member of TriState Ramblers, Hackettstown Senior Center and Toastmasters International. She has also volunteered with local university schools of nursing, supported church communities, participated on children's sports committees and served as a volunteer chair for cheerleading committees.

Outside of her professional endeavors, Dr. Chullum is devoted to her family as a mother of two teenagers—Harris, who graduated high school with distinction before attending Franklin & Marshall College for engineering or pre-medical studies, and Ella, who is exploring interests in psychology. Dr. Chullum enjoys hiking, traveling, reading about emotional intelligence, gardening and kayaking in her free time.
