FORT MYERS, FL, July 30, 2026 /24-7PressRelease/ -- John W. Fisher has been selected for inclusion in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

Mr. Fisher's professional journey spans more than four decades, marked by a steadfast commitment to education and creative expression. Since 2016, he has served as the creator in chief of John W. Fisher Creative Enterprises LLC, a company he established to formalize his pursuits in writing, music and poetry. Under his leadership, the enterprise has developed multiple divisions, including one dedicated to music composition and another focused on prose. Mr. Fisher's innovative spirit is exemplified by his creation of the "Sermon Song," a unique approach that involves transforming weekly sermon notes and scripture into original poetry set to music. This concept, which he has trademarked, forms the foundation of his published works and distinguishes his contributions to contemporary religious literature.

Mr. Fisher began his career as a public school teacher, instructing elementary and middle school students for many years. He specialized in middle school science and participated in programs like Science in the Summer for Elementary Kids through GlaxoSmithKline in Philadelphia.

During this phase of teaching, when his wife became pregnant with their first child and was no longer able to work as a nurse, Mr. Fisher's mother-in-law, a real estate agent, encouraged him to obtain his real estate license. After earning a master's degree plus 30 additional graduate credits and a supervisory certificate, he chose to pursue real estate rather than a principalship, eventually earning his broker's license in Pennsylvania and discovering a passion for teaching. In 2000, he left public education to become a full-time instructor at private real estate schools and the Temple University Real Estate Institute.

Mr. Fisher was an educator at the Real Estate Institute at Temple University from 2000 to 2016. In this capacity, he taught adult learners, drawing upon his extensive experience in real estate and education. His tenure at Temple University followed several years as a full-time real estate instructor at various private real estate schools, where he shared his expertise with aspiring professionals in the field.

Mr. Fisher's own academic background laid a strong foundation for his multifaceted career. He graduated cum laude from Lafayette College in Easton, Pennsylvania, in 1970 with a bachelor's degree in psychology. He continued his studies at Temple University, earning a master's degree in education. Further enhancing his credentials, he completed coursework at the Institute of Children's Literature, which refined his writing abilities and contributed to his later success as an author.

Throughout his career, Mr. Fisher obtained numerous certifications that reflect both his versatility and commitment to professional excellence. He holds licenses as a broker in both Florida and Pennsylvania and is certified in real estate mortgages and green real estate practices. Additionally, he possesses licenses to teach real estate and is certified to instruct at the elementary and middle school levels.

Outside his primary work, Mr. Fisher's civic involvement is equally distinguished. He is an active member of First Presbyterian Church and has served as president of the psychological honor society at Lafayette College. His talents as a storyteller, singer and poet have enriched communities at Healthpark Senior Living and various nursing homes through performances with the Sermon Song Singers.

Recognition for Mr. Fisher's achievements includes the Freedoms Foundation Medal from Founding Forward in 1977, an honorary award from Phi Beta Kappa Society in 1970, a book award for accomplishments in education from Columbia University in the City of New York and the McKelvy Scholarship from Lafayette College.

As an author and composer, Mr. Fisher has published over 50 anthems available through Sheet Music Plus—all released into the public domain—and contributed articles to Humpty Dumpty Children's Digest and other children's magazines early in his career. His literary works include Sermon Songs for the Gospel According to Mark and Fronds of Palms, both published by Christian Faith Publishing. His third book, Sermon Songs for Acts and Revelation, is scheduled for release later in 2026 through Christian Faith Publishing. Additionally, he authored A Gwyn Nor Colonial Christmas at Old Valley Forge and Pennsylvania Real Estate Exam Prep. He is currently developing a short story titled Finding Jesus: Miracle Memoirs of a Levite.

In his personal life, Mr. Fisher enjoys writing and swimming as hobbies. Since 2020, he has devoted himself to caring for his wife as her full-time caregiver while she resides in a memory care unit due to Alzheimer's disease. Together they have two children—a daughter and a son—and five grandchildren.
