Mr. Cook currently serves as the senior manager of corporate quality management system audits at Teleflex Incorporated, a role he has held since 2024. In this capacity, he leads a small corporate audit team, directly supervising two members and overseeing the corporate auditing methodology. His responsibilities include scheduling and ensuring the execution of audits across the organization, with a focus on the corporate quality system.

In addition to these responsibilities, Mr. Cook acts as an internal compliance consultant, providing expert guidance on regulations and standards integral to audit processes. He is a member of the Enterprise Corrective and Preventive Action Review Board and plays a key role in mergers and acquisitions by participating in due diligence to assess the quality systems and documentation of acquisition targets. Prior to joining Teleflex Incorporated, Mr. Cook was a senior quality manager at BD from 2016 to 2023. During his tenure, he demonstrated strong leadership skills, at one point managing a team of 18 members. He was instrumental in guiding discussions on operational excellence and regulatory compliance. Under his leadership, his team was recognized as runner-up for the H.P. Beckman Award in the same year they received the Diagnostic Systems President's Award for operational excellence at the manufacturing plant.

From 2006 to 2016, Mr. Cook held the position of divisional quality assurance at W.L. Gore & Associates. As plant quality manager for manufacturing sites, he played a pivotal role during a period when the site was designing and preparing to launch the company's first two pre-market approval products. This accomplishment stands as one of his most significant professional achievements.

Earlier, between 2003 and 2006, Mr. Cook served as a senior sterilization quality engineer at BD, where he specialized in sterilization engineering within the broader field of quality engineering. From 2000 to 2003, he was a quality assurance associate and plant quality manager at BD, where he further developed his expertise in auditing and quality management systems.

At AML Communications, Mr. Cook worked as quality manager from 1999 to 2000, overseeing quality assurance initiatives and ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements. Previously, he served as a plant services manager at Williams Instrument Incorporated from 1998 to 1999, where he managed facility operations and supported continuous improvement efforts.

From 1995 to 1998, Mr. Cook served as a senior quality assurance engineer at MDC Research Ltd., focusing on process optimization and compliance with industry standards. His earlier roles include serving as a quality assurance engineer at CUI Corporation between 1994 and 1995, following a role as a QA/RA microbiologist at Hall Surgical from 1993 to 1994, where he applied his microbiology background to support regulatory affairs and product safety.

Mr. Cook's professional journey began as a quality assurance coordinator at Pudenz-Schulte Medical Corporation from 1990 to 1993. In this foundational role, he developed strong auditing skills that would underpin his future success in quality-related disciplines.

Throughout his career, Mr. Cook has been an active member of the American Society for Quality, reflecting his commitment to professional development and industry best practices. He has consistently focused on contributing not only to organizational success, but also to advancing public health and societal well-being through improved medical device quality, safety and regulatory compliance.

Mr. Cook's academic background includes a Bachelor of Arts in biology with concentrations in microbiology and genetics from the University of California, Santa Barbara, in 1990. He initially pursued coursework in electrical engineering before discovering his passion for biology, a decision that shaped his future contributions to the medical device field. His studies included substantial coursework in chemistry, which proved valuable throughout his career in sterilization engineering and regulatory compliance.

Further enhancing his credentials, Mr. Cook earned certification as a certified model II implementer bronze from the Institute for Process Excellence in 2015 and holds CM2 certification. These credentials that have strengthened his expertise in process excellence and configuration management.

Beyond his professional pursuits, Mr. Cook serves as a board member of his homeowners' association and enjoys watching movies with his wife, restoring classic automobiles and working in the yard.
