JUPITER, FL, August 04, 2026 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Lisa Lieu has been selected for inclusion in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
Ms. Lieu's professional journey is marked by entrepreneurial vision, financial expertise and a commitment to service. Since 2020, she has served as the owner of Tipsy of Jupiter at Tipsy Salon & Spa - Jupiter, where she engages directly with customers to understand their preferences and perspectives. Ms. Lieu oversees the front desk operations, manages the receptionist and coordinates appointment allocations, ensuring seamless customer experiences. Her leadership has been instrumental in addressing operational challenges and maintaining high standards of service. Under her guidance, Tipsy Salon & Spa was voted the number one spa in Jupiter, Florida, a testament to her management acumen and dedication to excellence.
Before her current role, Ms. Lieu served as director of finance at Specialized Carriers & Rigging Association in Fairfax, Virginia, beginning in 2001. In this capacity, she managed the organization's financial operations for more than two decades, demonstrating expertise in management and negotiations. Her tenure at the association was characterized by strategic oversight and fiscal responsibility, contributing significantly to the nonprofit's stability and growth.
From 2003 to 2016, Ms. Lieu also worked as an associate broker with Long & Foster Real Estate during a period of rapid expansion in the real estate market. Balancing this part-time role with her full-time finance responsibilities at Specialized Carriers & Rigging Association for more than decades, she gained valuable insights into home ownership and real estate transactions. Her experience as a broker broadened her understanding of property markets and client relations.
Ms. Lieu's career is further distinguished by her membership in the Fairfax Association of Brokers and her selection to decorate the White House for Christmas during the Obama administration—an honor reflecting her creativity and attention to detail. She has also recently launched Saigon Sandwich in Palm Beach Gardens, offering Vietnamese cuisine inspired by her childhood memories. The restaurant quickly gained popularity following a positive customer review that led to consistently selling out key menu items.
Her academic foundation includes earning a Bachelor of Business Administration in accounting and finance from Trinity Washington University in Washington, D.C., graduating in 1999. This educational background provided Ms. Lieu with analytical skills and financial knowledge that have underpinned her success across multiple industries. Her transition into entrepreneurship was motivated by both personal experience and professional curiosity; after encountering poor service at a local nail salon, she researched the industry's business model and recognized its potential profitability. Drawing on three decades of experience and guided by faith, she expanded Tipsy Salon & Spa's staff from eight to nearly thirty employees while maintaining profitability through challenging times.
Ms. Lieu's civic engagement includes volunteering with the Annandale Fire Department and serving on the administration board at Marymount College. She has also provided pro bono tax services for low-income families through the Internal Revenue Service Voluntary Disclosure Practice in Virginia, reflecting her commitment to community support.
Her achievements have been recognized with honors such as Stuart Magazine's Best Of award and Best of Jupiter Magazine. She contributed to the "Best Of Issue 2025" project for Tipsy Salon & Spa, highlighting her business's impact within the local community.
Born in a small town in Vietnam as the second child in a family of four, Ms. Lieu's early life was shaped by adversity after being given away by her mother following a psychic's prediction. Raised initially by a herbal medicine doctor before joining a family that would bring her to the United States under President Reagan's immigration policy for Vietnamese children in 1990, she credits God's grace for healing her from brokenness and abandonment. Introduced to faith by her foster parents, Carol and Thomas Wright—who welcomed her as one of their own despite limited means—Ms. Lieu found belonging and purpose through prayer and trust in God.
Among her proudest accomplishments is creating opportunities that have transformed her family's future. She has provided financial support to her biological family, sponsored their immigration to the United States, helped three family members secure stable employment, and guided them toward achieving homeownership for the first time.
While these milestones are deeply meaningful, she considers her greatest achievement to be giving back to her foster father, whose support and guidance profoundly shaped her life. Being able to express her gratitude through meaningful gifts—including an F-250 truck—and witnessing his joy remains one of her most treasured experiences.
Today, her family enjoys a fulfilling life together in Virginia, reflecting the lasting impact of her commitment to family, service, and creating opportunities for future generations.
Outside of work, Ms. Lieu enjoys paddleboarding, spending time on the water and decorating with flowers especially orchids. Looking ahead, she aspires to travel extensively, visit her children, Nora and Lauren, after they complete their education and provide them with mental and financial support that was unavailable during her own upbringing. Additionally, she hopes to engage in missionary work across the country to share her faith.
Ms. Lieu attributes her achievements to hard work, honesty and humility—values instilled through both personal experience and spiritual conviction—and continues to rise above challenges while making meaningful contributions professionally and personally.
