Throughout his career, Mr. Magnell has earned a reputation as a dedicated, focused, solution driven individual, while building scalable business programs that improve decision-making and financial performance. Among his most notable accomplishments was designing and implementing an enterprise capital investment and revenue tracking program that provides executive leadership with clear visibility into investment performance and network expansion. He also led the successful effort to secure Fidiums Basic International Telecommunications Service license, enabling the company's expansion into Canada.

Prior to his current role, Mr. Magnell served as Senior Director of Business Development Enterprise, Director of Enterprise Solution Engineering for the Western United States, Regional Sales Engineering Manager and Senior Solutions Engineer. Across these positions, he built and led high-performing engineering and sales organizations, supported merger and acquisition initiatives, developed enterprise network strategies and helped generate significant commercial growth throughout the United States.

His telecommunications career spans more than two decades, including leadership positions with Consolidated Communications, Enventis, Marco and Integra Telecom. Beginning as a telecommunications technician, he steadily advanced through engineering, solution architecture, sales engineering and executive leadership by combining deep technical knowledge with financial strategy and customer-focused innovation.

Outside of his corporate career, Mr. Magnell and his wife own and operate Magnell Properties, managing multifamily investments and vacation rental properties. Their business reflects the same disciplined investment philosophy and long-term planning that have defined his professional career.

Born in Thief River Falls, Minnesota, Mr. Magnell is deeply committed to family life with two sons who have pursued careers as plumbers with aspirations of entrepreneurship.

Mr. Magnell earned an Associate degree in Telecommunications Engineering from Northwest Technical College in Wadena, Minnesota. He credits much of his success to the discipline, resilience and work ethic developed while growing up in rural Oklee, Minnesota working on the farm, watching over his 3 brothers and through decades of competitive wrestling, coaching and leadership development.

Community service has remained an important part of his life. He spent more than 20+ years coaching youth and high school wrestling, served as President of Wrestling Club Boards, and most recently coached at the local West Fargo High School, volunteered with local nonprofit organizations and co-led a community toy drive with his wife that provided Christmas gifts to children in need throughout the West Fargo and Harwood area.

Mr. Magnell has also provided technology advisory support to a local suicide prevention organization and volunteered with his local chamber of commerce.

His professional achievements have been recognized with numerous honors, including the Excellent Achievement Award, multiple Pinnacle Club Awards, multiple Service Star Awards and the White Hartman Award presented by the State of North Dakota in recognition of his heroic rescue of a woman from a burning vehicle following an accident on Interstate 29.

Outside of work, Mr. Magnell enjoys bow hunting, fishing, trapping, woodworking and wilderness canoe expeditions. An accomplished craftsman, he builds traditional cedar strip canoes and handcrafted longbows, combining craftsmanship with his passion for the outdoors. He and his wife also share a love of travel and have explored destinations throughout North America, Ireland, South America and Europe.
