Earlier, Mr. Lang served as corporate controller at Safeguard Properties from 2008 to 2010, during a period of rapid organizational expansion. From 2002 to 2008, he worked at Automatic Data Processing Inc., ultimately serving as assistant regional controller overseeing markets in Cleveland, Columbus, Cincinnati, Louisville and Indianapolis. Mr. Lang's career began at Ernst & Young LLP (now EY) in Greater Cleveland, where he worked from 1999 to 2002 as manager of financial planning and analysis. His academic background includes a Master of Business Administration in systems management from Baldwin Wallace University in Berea, earned in 2001, and a Bachelor of Science in accounting from The University of Akron, completed in 1993. Mr. Lang attributes much of his success to the work ethic instilled by his parents; his father's employment at a steel mill outside Cleveland enabled him to secure summer work that funded his education—a formative experience symbolized by the orange hard hat he keeps in his office.

He volunteers with Rotary International and serves as treasurer for his local Fraternal Order of Police lodge, supporting fundraising efforts for fallen officers and local food bank initiatives. As founder and director of a youth softball organization, he continues to foster youth development even after his daughter's participation ended several years ago.

For two decades, Mr. Lang has maintained a secondary career as a part-time police officer in his local suburb, serving as president of the Olmsted Falls Police Benevolent Association and actively participating in Shop With A Cop.
