In his most recent role as the founder and managing partner of Forest Estate LLC, which he established in 2025, he has focused on helping real estate professionals and business owners understand disciplined real estate investing. He emphasizes conservative underwriting, operational efficiency and long-term wealth-building principles. Mr. Macau's daily responsibilities include planning operations, conducting meetings with partners, attorneys and lenders, and overseeing due diligence and underwriting for multifamily properties. Under his leadership, Forest Estate LLC is actively working on significant multifamily deals and scaling its portfolio to include commercial assets.

Since 2023, Mr. Macau has also served as a senior IT project manager at Sensata Technologies Inc. in Attleboro, Massachusetts. In this capacity, he has managed cross-functional teams based in China and India while improving and streamlining project delivery for strategic IT infrastructure projects. Notably, Mr. Macau revamped the company's IT project management office (PMO) organization by enhancing structure, culture and project lifecycle processes from both infrastructure and application perspectives.

Before joining Sensata Technologies, Mr. Macau spent over 18 years at CGI Inc., where he held a series of progressively responsible positions across Portugal and Canada. His early career began in 2005 as a consultant in Lisbon, Portugal. Mr. Macau then advanced to technical systems operator for EDP's energy sector from 2006 to 2008 before becoming a Windows systems administrator with Control Bridge – EDP between 2008 and 2013. During this period, he developed expertise in IT service delivery and infrastructure management.

In 2013, Mr. Macau relocated to Canada with his wife to pursue new opportunities at CGI Group Inc. He started as a senior Wintel Systems Administrator on the project team until 2015, before advancing to technical Team Leader from 2015 to 2017. These roles allowed him to further hone his skills in team building, process improvement and cross-functional collaboration.

Mr. Macau's tenure at CGI Group Inc in Montréal began in 2017 as an IT project manager for PM2, where he led technology initiatives until 2019. He was then promoted to PMO portfolio manager from 2019 to 2021, overseeing a team of project managers, proposal writers and project control officers. This milestone stands out as one of his proudest achievements, as the promotion came just over a year after he entered the project management field, reflecting his structured approach and commitment to excellence.

In 2021, Mr. Macau took on the role of director and consulting expert at CGI Group Inc, where he increased PMO project work revenue by up to 25% within one quarter before moving to Boston as the director of consulting delivery and ISO also for CGI Group Inc from 2021 to 2023. At CGI working for Fidelity Investments client, he improved and automated service delivery actions at the initial stages of client engagement by enhancing financial reporting and team management documentation. Mr. Macau also implemented quarterly security audit assessments that achieved consistent results at the highest standard.

Throughout these roles, Mr. Macau consistently demonstrated expertise in areas such as agile methodology, vendor management, PMO portfolio management, cost reduction strategies and stakeholder management. He is recognized for his ability to streamline processes, improve operational readiness and drive revenue growth.

Alongside his IT career, Mr. Macau has cultivated a parallel path in real estate investment throughout Southern New England. After arriving in the U.S. in June 2022, he founded an LLC dedicated to acquiring and managing multifamily properties. His hands-on approach was evident when he refinanced his primary residence to purchase their first property, completed renovations himself, including electrical and plumbing work, and successfully rented out the units at market rates within two weeks of listing them himself.

Mr. Macau completed undergraduate coursework in electronics and computer science at Technology Superior School Setúbal in Portugal after earning a post-high-school level four diploma in electronics from Professional School Setúbal. These studies provided a foundation for his analytical skills and technical expertise that have been instrumental throughout his career. Mr. Macau has also earned several certifications that underscore his dedication to professional development. Among them, he holds credentials from Microsoft as a certified solutions expert and certified solutions associate, holds a managing consulting certificate from McGill Executive Institute at McGill University, and is recognized as a project management professional by the Project Management Institute. Additionally, Mr. Macau is fluent in Portuguese, English and French, which he acquired through immersion abroad.

Active in his professional community, Mr. Macau holds membership with REI Capital Accelerator & Boardroom.
