Among Dr. Sayers many achievements since joining Milwaukee Area Technical College was collaborating with colleagues and web designers to develop the college's first webpage, effectively communicating their vision for digital engagement. She also collaborated with colleagues to bring the board of directors into the technological age and spearheaded the conversion of institutional policies and procedures manuals into an online format. Recognizing the needs of working adults, Dr. Sayers in concert with a co-worker initiated an accelerated program for administrative and legal assistants that allowed students to attend evening classes once a week, making education more accessible.

Throughout her pursuits, Dr. Sayers credits her determination as a driving force behind her success, demonstrating resilience after becoming a young mother while continuing to pursue higher education.
