PLANO, TX, August 12, 2026 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Andy Evans has been selected for inclusion in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

Mr. Evans currently serves as president of wealth management and partner at Astra Wealth Management Group LLC, a role he has held since 2019. In this capacity, he is responsible for monitoring global markets, evaluating investment opportunities, and conducting daily client calls and in-office meetings. He meets with clients to provide financial planning, investment guidance, estate planning and life planning services. Over the past seven years, Mr. Evans has been instrumental in expanding the firm's capabilities and service offerings, advising more than 100 of the 1,000 families served by Astra Wealth Management. He considers listening to clients one of his greatest strengths and takes pride in building a multigenerational firm stemming from the 20 years he worked with his father, and now working with his adult son, Christian. The firm's approach reflects Mr. Evans's belief in comprehensive financial guidance and long-term wealth accumulation, emphasizing estate planning in collaboration with attorneys and certified public accountants.

Additionally, from 2019 to 2021, Mr. Evans was director at Evans Hawkins Darden Wealth Partners. This period overlapped with the founding of Astra Wealth Management Group LLC and marked a significant transition in his career as he moved from working within large financial institutions to establishing an independent registered investment adviser firm. The experience required substantial effort and financial investment but allowed Mr. Evans to offer a broader range of services to clients, free from the limitations imposed by larger firms.

Prior to these entrepreneurial endeavors, Mr. Evans served as senior vice president and investment officer at Wells Fargo Advisors from 2014 to 2019. Before that, he was vice president of investments at Wells Fargo Advisors from 2011 to 2014. His tenure at Wells Fargo was shaped by the constraints of operating within a large institution, where advisers were often discouraged from providing guidance on assets not held by the firm. Despite these limitations, Mr. Evans recognized early on that serving solely as a stockbroker did not deliver the value his clients needed. In 2000, he transitioned to a fee-based platform ahead of many peers in the industry, allowing him to focus on comprehensive financial planning and helping clients adopt a long-term approach to building wealth.

From 2002 to 2011, Mr. Evans was vice president of investments at Royal Bank of Canada. His responsibilities included managing client portfolios during a period marked by significant changes in the financial services industry. Earlier in his career, he worked as vice president and financial adviser at Dean Witter (now Morgan Stanley) from 1994 to 2002, where he further developed his expertise in high-level investment management and client relationship management.

Mr. Evans began his professional journey as a stockbroker at PaineWebber from 1990 to 1994 after graduating from Southern Methodist University with a Bachelor of Science in economics in 1989. Throughout his career, he has become an expert in high-level investment management, client relationship management and talent development and mentorship — achievements that are widely recognized among his peers.

His academic background provided a strong foundation for his success in wealth management. Earning a Bachelor of Science in economics from Southern Methodist University in Dallas equipped Mr. Evans with analytical skills essential for evaluating market trends and making informed investment decisions. He attributes his accomplishments to consistency rather than any magic formula or overnight success. Since beginning his career, Mr. Evans has continually refined his personal and professional approach, which has helped maintain a client retention rate exceeding 95 percent. He credits long-term relationships and referrals from satisfied clients as key factors in building a robust client base grounded in trust and lasting connections.

Beyond his professional commitments, Mr. Evans is actively involved in civic-minded organizations and charitable initiatives. He volunteers with local charities and supports St. Jude Children's Research Hospital through regular involvement. A few times each year, he participates with food banks to help address community needs while continuing ongoing support for various local charitable causes.

His dedication to excellence has earned him notable recognition within the industry. Mr. Evans has been named a Top Advisor by Forbes for five years and has received the Five Star Wealth Managers award every year since 2012. For fifteen consecutive years, he has ranked among the top three percent of all advisers recognized by Five Star Wealth Managers.

Born in Richardson and spent his childhood in Plano Texas. Mr. Evans enjoys golf in the summer, skiing in the winter, and traveling with his wife throughout the year. He values spending time with family — including working alongside his son at Astra Wealth Management Group LLC — and nurturing friendships outside of work. Looking ahead, Mr. Evans aims to establish his firm as a lasting institution rather than simply a practice with an endpoint. He is committed to sharing knowledge with the next generation of leaders within the firm while expanding its services to remain one of the industry's most comprehensive full-service registered investment advisers.

Maintaining a healthy balance between professional responsibilities and personal fulfillment remains important for Mr. Evans. He encourages clients to enjoy meaningful experiences throughout their lives rather than postponing them until retirement, and he strives to live by the same philosophy by traveling regularly and creating new memories each year.
