Mr. Harris' expertise spans commercial insurance, personal insurance, life insurance and medical coverage, reflecting his comprehensive knowledge across all types of insurance products and ability to guide families and individuals in need. His achievements with the agency have seen him featured in several magazines, further underscoring his prominence in the industry. Having launched a new business at age 63 and achieved such rapid success, he is proud to have demonstrated to his children that success is attainable at any stage of life. Prior to establishing his insurance agency, Mr. Harris built an extensive career in the restaurant industry. From 2018 to 2020, he served as past president of the Northwest Area Kentucky Fried Chicken Franchisee Association (NWAKFCF) as well as chairman of government affairs, where he was pivotal in shaping policy and advocacy efforts for franchisees. His leadership extended to serving on the board of directors for UFPC (now Restaurant Supply Chain Solutions) during two separate terms, first from 2007 to 2010 and again from 2013 to 2014.
From 2005 to 2014, Mr. Harris contributed as an NCAC Region 12 representative for Kentucky Fried Chicken and held a seat on the board of directors for NCAC. His storied tenure with KFC began at age 15 when he started as a cook, eventually rising through every C-suite title over the course of 45 years before becoming vice president and director from 1974 to 2020. During this period, he managed multiple franchises including Taco Bell and A&W and pioneered significant innovations such as designing, building and opening the world's first co-branded KFC and A&W restaurant as well as designing and constructing the first modular co-branded restaurant produced in the United States.
Alongside his primary management roles, Mr. Harris serves as chairman of government affairs for the Great Falls Chamber of Commerce and holds an executive board position with the Great Falls Development Association and Great Falls Chamber of Commerce. He is also a founding member of the Unified Food Service Co-op for KFC, which continues to unite the brand's various franchises and advance both their individual and shared goals.
Equally known for his civic-minded contributions, Mr. Harris has contributed as a fundraiser for Peace Place of Great Falls, supporting respite childcare services for families in need. He also volunteers with the Boys and Girls Club as well as Neighbor Works of Great Falls, helping disadvantaged individuals build and secure ownership of their homes. Mr. Harris, as a proud patriot, is a major sponsor in the Great Falls Flag Project. Reflecting on his remarkable journey to date, he attributes much of his success to his ability to recognize and nurture talent in others, believing that surrounding oneself with capable individuals is essential for both organizational and personal growth.
In his personal life, Mr. Harris draws significant inspiration from his wife of 47 years, Linda and their three grown children: Cody Harris, who is overseeing the development of a new terminal at Reno-Tahoe International Airport in Nevada; Crystal Carwile, who has been recognized as Teacher of the Year in Chicago, Illinois area; and Brandy Ward, who serves as head of human resources for the local Target and a rock star in developing others. He is also the proud grandfather of five grandchildren, all of whom motivate him to continue pursuing excellence both personally and professionally.
