As a skilled attorney, Ms. Diamond has worked at AmLaw 100 law firms for over 25 years (including 15 years as a partner) and has expertise representing commercial banks, investment funds, and other institutional lenders in all aspects of the origination, purchase, and sale of balance sheet and securitized mortgage loans (including single asset securitizations), construction loans, mezzanine loans, syndicated loans, secured lines of credit, subordinate notes, and participation interests secured by commercial real estate properties in all 50 states across all asset types, including single and multi-property transactions with loan amounts up to and exceeding $1 billion. Ms. Diamond also has experience with the workout, restructuring and foreclosure of commercial mortgage loans. Notably, Riemer & Braunstein LLP, Ms. Diamond's current law firm, represents clients both regionally and nationally, representing banks, corporations, businesses, and other major financial institutions locally and nationally in all aspects of commercial finance.

Leveraging decades of experience, Ms. Diamond was a Director at McCoy & Orta, P.C. in New York City, a nationally recognized law firm based in Oklahoma, from 2024 to 2025, where she further honed her skills in real estate finance transactions and client representation. This role came after almost 20 years of success as an attorney at the international law firm Alston & Bird LLP, also in their New York City office, between 2005 and 2024, where she rose from associate to partner, managing high-profile deals and developing innovative legal strategies for clients navigating complex real property ownership structures and intricate real estate finance matters. Ms. Diamond's earlier experience included serving as an associate at the international law firm Dechert LLP from 2002 to 2005, following her initial work as an associate at Thacher Proffitt & Wood, LLP, another nationally recognized law firm, from 1999 to 2002, where she interned during her last summer in law school and began practicing there, after taking the New York bar exam. Thacher Proffitt is where she laid the foundation for her future achievements in real estate finance law through receiving excellent training and providing diligent client service with a commitment to excellence.

In addition to her legal practice, Ms. Diamond has contributed to academia as an adjunct professor at her alma mater, St. John's University School of Law in Queens, New York, from 2019 to 2025 (and commencing her teaching position again in 2027). She plays a pivotal role in shaping future legal professionals by sharing her knowledge and practical insights with students by teaching real estate finance law to law students as well as students working toward their Master of Laws degrees in Bankruptcy and Real Estate. Ms. Diamond has also been presenting webinars for various industry organizations (including the Mortgage Bankers Association since 2015) and presents CLE webinars to active practitioners and clients. She is also currently a member of the CRE Finance Counsel's Education Committee. Ms. Diamond's academic background has been instrumental in shaping her career trajectory. She completed her undergraduate studies at Binghamton University, State University of New York, where she acquired a Bachelor of Arts in 1992. Subsequently, Ms. Diamond earned a Doctor of Jurisprudence, cum laude, from St. John's University School of Law in 1999, where she also distinguished herself as managing editor of the Law Review. After graduation, she was soon admitted to practice in the New York bar.

Active in her professional community, Ms. Diamond's affiliations reflect her standing in the industry. Most notably, she was elected a fellow of the American College of Real Estate Lawyers, a distinction that recognizes her significant contributions and leadership within the profession. She is also a member of the New York State Bar Association, the American Bar Association, and the Mortgage Bankers Association. Ms. Diamond actively participates in the CRE Finance Council. Ms. Diamond's leadership extends to academic organizations, having served as the vice president of the Student Bar Association at St. John's University School of Law during her time in law school and, more recently, serving as a director on the Alumni Board of Directors of St John's University School of Law in addition to her advisory board position on the Mattone Family Institute for Real Estate Law. Beyond her professional commitments, she is civically engaged as a regular volunteer and leader for the CRE Finance Counsel's First Step Program Corporate Day where the CRE Finance Counsel Women's Network partners with the Coalition for the Homeless to support the Coalition's First Step Job Training Program, which is a transformative initiative that helps low-income and homeless women in New York City gain the skills, experience, and confidence needed to secure living-wage jobs. CRE Finance Counsel members assist these women with resume writing and perform mock interviews, which are important steps in securing such jobs. Ms. Diamond is also involved with Dove Missions, which is a not-for-profit organization that helps keep impoverished children in the Dominican Republic off the streets and in schools, teaching them life skills that will help them as children and throughout their lives, demonstrating her commitment to giving back to the community.

Crediting her success to enjoying her work and exercising patience, these qualities have fostered strong client relationships and have led to unique opportunities within Ms. Diamond's law practice. Drawing inspiration from her family, her one brother is a retired lawyer who held a principal position at Ernst & Young for many years, while her other brother is a retired fund manager who worked at Lord Abbett & Co. for many years. Ms. Diamond's mother also worked for much of her life as a social worker until the age of 83 before retiring during the COVID-19 pandemic and then reentering the workforce post-pandemic as a therapist until the age of 87. Her mother remains active today at the age of 89 as, among other things, a member of the League of Women Voters.
