Through her consulting work, she currently supports clients operating franchise businesses at Miami International Airport, as well as nonprofit organizations and other mission-driven clients. Her areas of expertise include accounting, budgeting, financial management and organizational development.

Drawing upon her professional expertise and passion for education, Ms. English created Road to Abundance™, an interactive financial literacy board game that helps young people understand assets, liabilities, net worth and financial decision-making. The game includes editions designed for elementary, middle school, high school and college students, as well as a specialized card deck for name, image, and likeness student-athletes.

Her ability to explain complex financial principles through relatable, real-world examples began at home. When teaching her daughter about depreciation, Ms. English used the resale of a bedroom set to demonstrate how an item's value can change over time. Experiences like this helped shape her belief that financial education should be engaging, practical, and accessible to young people.

Earlier in her career, Ms. English transitioned from traditional auditing at a public accounting firm to nonprofit financial management. This move allowed her to align her accounting expertise with her desire to support organizations dedicated to serving their communities. She found fulfillment working behind the scenes to strengthen organizations that assisted individuals and families in need, and that mission-driven approach became a guiding force throughout her career.

Ms. English's entrepreneurial spirit was further demonstrated when she owned and operated a bakery from 2009 to 2012 during the housing crisis. Through this venture, she gained valuable experience in business development, customer service, operations and investor relationships. The experience reinforced her commitment to entrepreneurship and inspired her to encourage her children, grandchildren and students to pursue their own business ideas.

Ms. English earned a Bachelor of Science in accounting from Fairleigh Dickinson University in Teaneck, New Jersey, in 1982. She later earned a Master of Business Administration from the Florida Institute of Technology. She is also a charter member of the Nu Kappa Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated®. Beyond her formal education, she attributes much of her determination and resilience to the unwavering encouragement of her family, whose support continues to inspire her pursuit of excellence.

In addition to her professional accomplishments, Ms. English remains actively involved in service and creative projects. She serves as a Sunday school teacher at her church and has volunteered with HOPE South Florida, helping provide meals to people experiencing homelessness. These efforts further demonstrate her dedication to mentorship and community engagement.

In her personal life, Ms. English is the proud mother of two daughters and grandmother of two granddaughters. She enjoys watching movies, attending concerts, listening to jazz, attending sporting events, spending time at the beach and participating in outdoor activities.
