LIVINGSTON, TN, August 18, 2026 /24-7PressRelease/ -- David Ryan Burchfield has been selected for inclusion in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

Marked by his steadfast commitment to entrepreneurship and serving others through everything he does, Mr. Burchfield is the owner of Roaring River Distillery in Gainesboro, Tennessee, which creates moonshine using time-honored processes and performs every step by hand to ensure the highest quality products are served. Also, a second location that is located in Livingston, Tennessee. In his ownership role, he oversees the proper functioning of both store locations, operates distillery production equipment, tracks production output and directs marketing and advertising initiatives while maintaining full compliance and licensing necessities. Partnering with Savannah Connor to ensure the success and community engagement of the business, his expertise in marketing, management and fundamental business operations has been pivotal in the growth and visibility of the distillery.

Prior to his transition into business ownership, Mr. Burchfield dedicated nearly three decades to a distinguished military career, including over 20 years of active-duty service. He held several key roles within the United States Army and the United States Army National Guard, including Platoon Sergeant, Instructor at the 117th Regiment Regional Training Institute within the Department of Military in Smyrna, Tennessee, Recruiter and member of the Counterdrug Task Force with the Department of Military in Tennessee. Throughout his military tenure, he demonstrated unwavering commitment and leadership, which he considers his most meaningful achievement.

Hailing from an equally accomplished educational background, Mr. Burchfield earned a Master's Degree in Human Resource Development and Professional Studies from Tennessee Technological University in 2024, a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice from Grantham University (now University of Arkansas Grantham) and an associate degree from Volunteer State Community College. Reflecting on his storied journey thus far, he attributes much of his success to his drive and work ethic — qualities honed during his military service — applying this focused attitude to both his business ventures and personal growth.

Mr. Burchfield's decision to enter the distillery industry was deeply influenced by his family heritage. After receiving approval for military retirement, he recognized an opportunity when Roaring River Distillery became available for purchase. With a family history rooted in moonshine production spanning four generations — particularly his grandfather, a World War II veteran who also created and sold moonshine many years ago — he sought to formalize this legacy through legal enterprise. Committed to integrity throughout the acquisition process, he resolved to proceed in taking over Roaring River only if all stakeholders agreed, ultimately securing unanimous approval and beginning his ownership tenure in October 2025.

Alongside his primary work at Roaring River, Mr. Burchfield is actively engaged with industry organizations as a lifetime member of the Cavalry Regiment and a member of the Tennessee Distillers Guild. His dedication and impact as a business owner have seen him recognized through multiple accolades, including Best of Tennessee in 2025 and a special feature in Upper Cumberland Lifestyle. In honor of his exemplary military service, he was awarded the Bronze Star with Combat Action Badge as well as the Order of St. George.

Beyond his professional endeavors, Mr. Burchfield is deeply devoted to his family and community. The proud father of three children whose ages range from 13 to 19 as of 2026, he values spending quality time with them through activities such as trips to the lake, vacations and social gatherings with friends. While he is not formally involved with nonprofit organizations at present, he emphasizes the importance of support for small businesses and remains committed to giving back to both his community and the broader Middle Tennessee area.

Looking toward the future with determination, Mr. Burchfield intends to further develop Roaring River Distillery into a prominent destination for both tourists and local residents. His ultimate goal is to expand its presence within the community and establish it as a lasting staple that contributes positively to the region's identity and economy for many years to come, following in the footsteps of his family's exceptional legacy.
