ALISO VIEJO, CA, August 21, 2026 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Arin Brahma, PhD, has been selected for inclusion in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
Dr. Brahma's career reflects an uncommon combination of technology leadership, entrepreneurship, academic scholarship and applied artificial intelligence. A central theme throughout his work has been bridging academic rigor with real-world business challenges—translating emerging technologies and advanced research into practical solutions for complex enterprise problems. His current work focuses particularly on trustworthy and deployable AI for risk-sensitive and regulated industries, including financial services and healthcare.
Since 2019, Dr. Brahma has served as founder and chief executive officer of Kognivo AI, where he focuses on enterprise AI strategy, solution architecture and the application of advanced AI technologies to business transformation. His approach emphasizes understanding the underlying business problem first and then designing technology and AI solutions that create measurable organizational value.
Concurrently, Dr. Brahma is a tenured associate professor in the Department of Information Systems and Business Analytics at Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles, where he has served on the faculty since 2013. Dr. Brahma's research papers in applied AI are published in several peer-reviewed top-rated international journals. His dual experience in academia and industry enables him to approach business problems with both practical executive perspective and the analytical depth of scholarly research.
A significant focus of Dr. Brahma's recent research is uncertainty-aware artificial intelligence. His work advances the premise that selecting AI and machine learning models for deployment should not depend solely on traditional performance measures such as predictive accuracy. In high-stakes applications, organizations must also understand how stable and reliable model predictions remain under changing data conditions. His research develops methods for quantifying this uncertainty and incorporating it alongside performance when evaluating models for real-world deployment.
This research has been applied in healthcare using clinical data to support predictive applications involving ambulatory patient care. The underlying principles and design are also being extended into financial services through his consulting engagements, demonstrating the broader applicability of uncertainty-aware and trustworthy AI across regulated industries where reliability, transparency and responsible deployment are critical.
Dr. Brahma also contributes his expertise to Angel AI, a financial services artificial intelligence company, where concepts and architectural principles originating from his research are being incorporated into emerging enterprise AI architectures. This work further reflects his broader professional objective of moving innovation beyond academic research into practical industry adoption.
Before entering academia, Dr. Brahma accumulated more than two decades of technology consulting, executive management and entrepreneurial experience. During this period, he provided technology consulting services to many Fortune 500 companies including Amgen, Longs Drugs, Disney, AT&T, etc. From 2010 to 2018, he founded and led Rebelle USA in Irvine as chief executive officer. In 2009, he served as vice president of information technology at SAS Solutions for Mitratech Software in Los Angeles.
From 2004 to 2009, Dr. Brahma served as executive vice president at Oracle Financial Services BPO, where he held senior leadership responsibilities involving large-scale business and technology transformation within the financial services sector. Earlier, he was cofounder and executive vice president of Equinox Corporation in Irvine from 2002 to 2004 and senior director of consulting at Nexgenix from 1994 to 2002, overseeing complex enterprise technology and consulting engagements.
His earlier career included leadership of the AS/400 Software Exports Division at Union Carbide from 1992 to 1994 and served as a senior consultant in the ERP practice at Digital Equipment Corporation from 1991 to 1992. His foundational technology experience included positions with Baan in the Netherlands from 1989 to 1991 and Asian Paints from 1987 to 1989.
Across these roles, Dr. Brahma developed particular expertise in enterprise architecture, business transformation, technology strategy and the design of solutions that connect emerging technologies with operational business requirements. Today, these capabilities form the foundation of his work as an AI strategist and innovator.
Dr. Brahma earned a Doctor of Philosophy in data science and analytics from Claremont Graduate University in 2019. He previously completed a Master of Science in industrial engineering at the Indian Institute of Management Mumbai in India in 1986 after earning a Bachelor of Science in engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur in India in 1985. He also completed an executive development program in information technology at Stanford University in 2001.
Dr. Brahma credits much of his commitment to education and professional achievement to his parents, who placed extraordinary importance on learning despite limited financial means. Both worked as bank clerks and consistently prioritized their children's education, instilling in him resilience, intellectual curiosity and a lifelong commitment to learning.
His professional recognition includes a certificate of appreciation from UCLA Anderson and special recognition awards from Nexgenix. He is also actively engaged with academic and industry communities focused on artificial intelligence, information systems and technology innovation.
Born in Kolkata, Dr. Brahma maintains an active life outside his professional pursuits and enjoys mountain biking, tennis, travel and playing the harmonica.
Looking ahead, Dr. Brahma intends to continue working at the intersection of enterprise AI strategy, innovation and academic research. His goal is to help organizations address consequential real-world problems through trustworthy, responsible and deployable artificial intelligence while continuing to advance research with practical relevance to industries such as healthcare and financial services. He also remains committed to sharing complex technological ideas in ways that enable business leaders to understand their implications and translate emerging AI capabilities into meaningful enterprise value.
