During the COVID-19 pandemic, when traditional exhibition venues were closed, his efforts provided critical opportunities for artists to exhibit and sell their work during an unprecedented period of uncertainty. In recognition of his contributions to the arts and dedication to strengthening the artistic community, he was named a Knight of the National Order of Merit by the French Ministry of Culture.

Prior to establishing Artmajeur as a full-time company, Mr. Charmetant contributed his expertise in business development at the solar power generation company Corsica Sole in France from 2014 to 2015. As a pre-sales technical project manager, he was responsible for identifying growth opportunities and securing key production contracts.

From 2009 to 2012, Mr. Charmetant excelled as a partner at OnlineVille, an enterprise resource planning (ERP) outlet for small businesses seeking e-commerce, stock management and accounting services. Combining his business development acumen with web design responsibilities, he played a pivotal role in shaping the company's digital strategy and expanding its client base.

Earlier in his career, Mr. Charmetant served as a partner at the travel agency Archeos in Cournonterral, Occitanie, France. Over the course of five years, he managed business development activities and contributed to web design projects that educated audiences about outdoor tourism and remote nature areas.

From 2002 to 2003, Mr. Charmetant held a partnership role at Riviera Development in Montpellier, where his work focused on developing digital solutions for businesses seeking to enhance their online presence. He began his professional path as a business developer and web designer at Skycha Webdesign in Montpellier from 2000 to 2002, which allowed him to refine his technical skills while building relationships with clients across various industries.

Hailing from an equally accomplished academic background, Mr. Charmetant earned a master's degree in management and business administration with a major in finance from Montpellier Business School of Business in 2002, a bachelor's degree in business administration from University of New Brunswick in 2000 and a diploma of general university studies in computer science and applied mathematics from the University of Montpellier in 1998. To complement his formal degrees, he obtained a certificate of study in international trade from Shanghai University of International Business and Economics in 2001.

Reflecting on his storied journey to date, Mr. Charmetant attributes much of his success to the discipline and resilience he developed through his background as a track-and-field athlete and decathlete as well as his training as a pianist — experiences that instilled determination and focus from an early age. He credits his partnership with his wife Julie, whom he first met during his time in business school, as essential to his entrepreneurial journey; their collaboration and mutual support have enabled him to pursue ambitious goals with confidence and integrity.

Having been raised in Africa and lived in Thailand, Canada, China and France before relocating to Peachtree City, Georgia, with his family, Mr. Charmetant brings a rich global perspective that has shaped his approach to entrepreneurship and informed his commitment to ethical leadership and community values.

As the co-founder of a France-based nonprofit organization dedicated to urban sustainability projects such as community gardens and recycling programs, Mr. Charmetant is deeply engaged in civic initiatives related to environmental conservation and waste management. He has continued this work in Georgia by studying local environmental protection efforts and collaborating with entrepreneurs on the development of innovative waste management solutions.

As a balance to his work and community service endeavors, Mr. Charmetant enjoys playing piano — a passion rooted in his musical family — and participating in padel.
