Before assuming her role as chief operating officer, Ms. Morrison became involved with Nana Morrison's Soul Food by joining her mother on weekend visits to the restaurant. These early experiences allowed her to witness firsthand the positive feedback from customers and sparked her interest in learning about the behind-the-scenes aspects of restaurant management. As additional North Carolina locations were established, she observed the planning and development process, deepening her understanding of business operations and fueling her passion for the field.

On her academic path toward obtaining a high school diploma, Ms. Morrison doubled up on classes so she could graduate early and begin her first management role at Nana Morrison's second location in Charlotte. Reflecting on her storied journey to date, she attributes much of her success to her passion for hospitality and unwavering commitment to excellence, noting that once she discovered her calling within the family enterprise, she could not envision pursuing another career path.

Beyond her professional endeavors, Ms. Morrison maintains active involvement with several community-centered organizations including Black Philanthropy, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and Dress for Success, demonstrating her commitment to giving back to her community and supporting causes that align with her values.

In honor of her outstanding leadership and dedication to maintaining the highest standards of customer service, Ms. Morrison was presented with the Best Soul Food Award from the Charlotte Observer and has been acknowledged with the Yelp Home Base Award.

In her personal life, Ms. Morrison enjoys spending time with her family — all three of her siblings are engaged in the family business as well — and maintains an active lifestyle through hobbies like exercising and traveling.
