Since 1995, Ms. Minassian has also served with the Arpa Foundation for Film, Music and Art. The foundation initially focused on organizing art exhibitions and musical concerts for emerging artists and musicians before expanding its support to aspiring filmmakers. Through these efforts, Ms. Minassian has built enduring partnerships with institutions such as the University of Southern California, California State University (CSU), Northridge, and the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), helping students and independent artists transition into successful careers.

Before her work in the arts, Ms. Minassian broke new ground as Gillette's first female sales representative in Southern California from Los Angeles to Palm Springs. Selected after a rigorous process involving five interviews and more than 70 applicants, she excelled in a male-dominated environment and earned lasting respect from company executives. Ms. Minassian's decision to leave Gillette was motivated by family commitments and her desire to support her husband during his demanding neurosurgical training.

Ms. Minassian began her professional journey as an educator after earning her undergraduate degree. She taught high school French and Spanish for one year in Fresno, California, followed by one year in the San Francisco Bay area and over five years at Carlsbad High School in Carlsbad, California. Ms. Minassian's teaching experience laid a strong foundation for her later work mentoring artists and filmmakers.

In preparation for her future, Ms. Minassian acquired a bachelor's degree from CSU Fresno in 1966, followed by a bachelor's degree in seventeenth- to nineteenth-century French literature with a minor in Spanish language and art from on campus. From there, she completed a master's degree in French literature from UCLA. These studies deepened Ms. Minassian's appreciation for culture and language, shaping her inclusive approach to supporting artists from diverse backgrounds.

Civically involved, Ms. Minassian has volunteered with organizations such as Childhelp USA. She has also maintained membership in the Armenian General Benevolent Union, where she promotes exhibitions for both established and emerging artists.

Among Ms. Minassian's notable projects was the 28th Arpa International Film Festival, which stands as a testament to her enduring commitment to elevating independent cinema. Her achievements have been recognized with several honors from Armenia, including recognition awards, gold medals and personal award certificates. Her work was also featured in The Eden Magazine in 2017, further highlighting her influence within the creative community. Ms. Minassian attributes her success to authenticity and passion, qualities that have made the Arpa International Film Festival renowned among filmmakers as an exceptionally welcoming event. She believes that individual attention fosters a sense of community, encouraging artists to persevere despite challenges.

In addition to supporting others' artistic endeavors, Ms. Minassian enjoys dancing and music.
