Furthermore, Mr. Samelson's early professional years were dedicated to public service in which he worked as a Parole Officer II for the electronic monitoring/super-intensive supervision program (EM/SISP) unit at the Texas Department of Criminal Justice - Parole Division in San Antonio from 2010 to 2016. He initially served the community as a Juvenile Corrections and Treatment Officer with Bexar County Juvenile Probation, beginning in 2008. Academically, Mr. Samelson earned a Bachelor's in Criminal Justice with a minor in psychology, and completed 36 hours in his Master's program in Justice Policy from the University of Texas at San Antonio.
