Since 2016, she has served as an operations program manager for the electronic systems sector at BAE Systems in Nashua, New Hampshire. In this capacity, she has demonstrated expertise in strategic operations, cross-functional leadership and full lifecycle program execution, overseeing projects from development through production and sustainment. Her responsibilities have encompassed operational excellence, continuous improvement and manufacturing readiness, as well as organizational development, talent leadership and change management. She is highly regarded for her ability to mentor others, build development paths for teams and collaborate across engineering, supply chain, quality and finance functions.
A defining achievement during Ms. Sheil's tenure was her foundational role in the F-35 program. Despite not having an engineering background or following a traditional career path, she helped design and lay out an empty factory space, transforming manual processes into automated systems alongside her team. She contributed to rebuilding the factory, hiring the workforce and developing talent to support rapid expansion as operations grew from a single shift to round-the-clock production. To address staffing needs, she helped establish a boot camp program with Nashua Community College to recruit and train employees efficiently. Additionally, she played a key part in the F-35 Technology Refresh initiative, modernizing legacy systems for the fifth-generation fighter jet. Under her leadership and as part of a broader team effort, production increased from four units per week to more than 100 per week, surpassing customer expectations and delivering profitable results. This accomplishment earned Ms. Sheil the Executive Business Leader Award and a second-place finish for the Chairman's Gold Award at BAE Systems.
Before being promoted to her current position, Ms. Sheil was a value stream manager from 2018 to 2019, where she worked directly with manufacturing personnel supporting the F-35 business area. In this hands-on role, she oversaw safe, efficient and timely product delivery while coordinating production activities, supervising staff and driving continuous improvement initiatives at the factory level. Her earlier experience as senior business process analyst from 2017 to 2018 further developed her analytical skills and understanding of complex business processes within the company.
Ms. Sheil's journey at BAE Systems began in 2014 when she became the organization's first communications specialist to support operations. In this newly created position she developed and delivered communications that supported organizational objectives, employee engagement and morale and stakeholder alignment across a large nationwide operations group. Her effectiveness in this capacity led to selection for a leadership development program after less than one year.
Prior to joining BAE Systems, Ms. Sheil served as legislative aide at the New Hampshire State Senate in Concord from 2012 to 2014. Assigned directly to a state senator, she managed communications, researched policy issues, prepared public-facing materials and acted as a point of contact for constituents and community stakeholders — an aspect of public service she found especially rewarding. Earlier in her career, following graduation from college in 2007, she relocated to Alaska to join her husband at his Air Force posting. There she held various positions while pursuing graduate studies before moving briefly to Dayton, Ohio, and eventually returning to New Hampshire.
Ms. Sheil's academic credentials include a Master of Arts in public policy from The New England College, earned in 2011, and a Bachelor of Arts in political science and justice studies from the University of New Hampshire, completed in 2007. She also earned her General Educational Development diploma in 2003. Her educational achievements have been instrumental in shaping her success, while exposure to diverse cultures during her upbringing fostered adaptability and global awareness that has informed her leadership style today.
Overall, Ms. Sheil attributes her drive to a strong work ethic instilled by her parents — her father's military service with the United States Coast Guard and her mother's commitment to working outside the home provided early examples of resilience and dedication. Encouraged by their support throughout her formative years in Washington, D.C., Ms. Sheil achieved milestones such as induction into the National Honor Society and completion of the International Baccalaureate program. Beyond her professional pursuits, Ms. Sheil is deeply engaged with civic organizations focused on music and youth development. Since 2012, she has sung with the Manchester Choral Society and served as its president from 2016 to 2026 — completing a decade-long term leading an organization that holds personal significance for her. She is also active as a choir singer with both the New Hampshire Master Chorale and the New Hampshire Friendship Chorus. Every two years, she performs internationally with the latter group, combining musical passion with travel. Her commitment extends to community sports through service as travel director for the Merrimack Youth Association board, where she oversees the town's travel soccer program while coaching both of her sons' teams — drawing on her own background as an academic All-American lacrosse player in high school.

Born in Norfolk, Virginia, Ms. Sheil has built a life rooted in family values alongside her husband, Ryan, since their marriage in 2008. Together they are raising two sons, Braden and Nolan. Outside of work commitments, she enjoys playing piano, singing with choral organizations, traveling internationally and coaching youth soccer. Recently invited to join the board of Dismas House — a nonprofit recovery home serving women overcoming substance abuse challenges — she continues exploring new avenues for community impact through board service.
