Ms. Gompert currently serves as Clerk Magistrate for the Morrill County Court in the State of Nebraska, where she is responsible for running the entire court. Before her current position, Ms. Gompert held the role of county courtroom clerk at Scotts Bluff County in Nebraska. In this capacity, she developed strong professional relationships within the court system and demonstrated a commitment to supporting both her colleagues and the public during challenging times. Her dedication to fostering trust with judges, court staff, law enforcement and probation officers has been central to her approach throughout her career.
Ms. Gompert's educational background includes an associate's degree in administration, management and ethics from Western Nebraska Community College in Scottsbluff, Nebraska. She also completed coursework in administration, management and ethics at Bellevue College in Bellevue, Nebraska. Ms. Gompert has also completed all required courses with BlueLedge, a Digital Court Reporting Online Legal Classroom, and, in addition, is now a Certified Electronic Reporter through the American Association of Electronic Reporters and Transcribers (AAERT). The knowledge gained through these academic pursuits has directly contributed to her success in court administration by equipping her with essential skills in leadership, organization, courtroom operations, and ethical decision-making. Judge Worden had trust and faith in her while giving her the opportunity to show that she can take on a leadership type of role with little to no supervision. He would always take the time during the day to do a "check in" and would pray with her. Knowing her skillset and capabilities pushed her to want to succeed and advance through the judicial system. He would always answer her questions and take the time to help her figure out the right way to do whatever task was needed.
Dianne Lana gave her the initial chance and opportunity to grow within the courts, observe and implement what Jenifer was learning on a day to day basis. Dianne knew that Jenifer was dependable and more than capable; she trusted her with multiple tasks or projects even if they had to be completed on a deadline. She has shown her over the years that a boss can not only be a respected boss, but also show compassion and understanding with staff members. She showed her what a true leader should be.
Chelsie Weaver continuously pushed Jenifer to take the opportunities that presented themselves to grow and learn within herself as well as within the judicial branch. She gave her the confidence to know that she knows what she is doing. To always be kind and do the best she could no matter what.
Beyond her professional duties, Ms. Gompert is actively involved in civic-minded organizations as a donor to local churches and a volunteer at food drives. Her commitment to community service reflects a broader dedication to helping others both inside and outside the workplace. She has received State achievement awards as well as an academic achievement award from her school, further recognizing her contributions and accomplishments.
In her personal life, Ms. Gompert enjoys traveling both domestic and abroad, playing sports and baking. Looking ahead, she intends to continue serving as a clerk magistrate, returning to the court where she began her career and serving there, a milestone she views as coming full circle in her professional journey.
