GODLEY, TX, August 31, 2026 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Ryan Phillips has been included in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
Mr. Phillips has distinguished himself as a REALTOR® with The Great Home Team | Local Realty Agency since 2023, leveraging a client-first approach that prioritizes the interests and satisfaction of buyers and sellers alike. In this capacity, he executes purchase and sale contracts, structures buyer representation agreements and negotiates commission adjustments to benefit his clients. His expertise extends to advising active duty and transitioning service members on home buying readiness and timing, developing tailored plans based on employment status, retirement benefits and long-term objectives.
Additionally, Mr. Phillips is recognized for assisting military clients with rental and interim housing solutions during transitions, negotiating offers and securing favorable terms, and guiding all clients through each stage of the real estate process to ensure smooth, successful transactions.
Mr. Phillips' transition into real estate followed a distinguished 15-and-a-half-year career in the United States Army from January 2008 to May 2023. During his military tenure, he served as a recruiter beginning in 2013 after returning from deployment in Afghanistan and graduating from recruiting school that July. He was first assigned to the San Fernando Valley recruiting company in California before converting to a full-time recruiter.
Subsequently, Mr. Phillips led the Fresno recruiting office, transforming it into the top-performing large station in its battalion through operational improvements and a leadership style focused on understanding individual strengths and shielding team members from unnecessary pressure. Later, he achieved similar results at a smaller station by moving it from last place to first within the battalion. In late 2020, Mr. Phillips was transferred to Texas, where he continued his recruiting duties until undergoing back and shoulder surgery in 2022 and ultimately being medically retired in 2023.
Throughout his real estate career, Mr. Phillips has established himself as an expert in veteran and VA loan specialization as well as conventional and FHA financing, residential sales, purchases, leasing and land transactions. He is especially proud of the growth he experienced after his second year in real estate — completing 11 transactions in his first year and increasing that number to 46 in his second year.
By July 2026, Mr. Phillips had already reached 42 transactions for the year, putting him on pace to exceed his goal of helping at least one person per week. He values not only these production milestones but also the relationships built through networking with organizations serving active-duty and reserve military members. Word-of-mouth referrals from past clients have further solidified his reputation within various communities.
Known for his commitment to the field, Mr. Phillips is affiliated with several industry organizations, including serving as a representative for USA Homeownership Foundation Inc., doing business as Veterans Association of Real Estate Professionals (VAREP). He has recently completed his coursework and passed all tests to become a member of MORE (Military Operated Real Estate).
Mr. Phillips' educational background includes coursework at Fresno State in Fresno, which contributed foundational knowledge supporting both his military service and real estate career. Committed to ongoing professional development, he holds several certifications: licensed realtor since 2022, Graduate REALTOR Institute designation, Military Relocation Professional credential, Accredited Buyer Representative, and Real Estate Negotiation Expert certification. These achievements reflect his dedication to continuous learning and self-improvement.
Reflecting on his career, Mr. Phillips attributes much of his success to strong leadership influences throughout his military and real estate careers as well as an innate ability to connect with people — qualities he describes as natural as a heartbeat. He credits sustained effort, surrounding himself with supportive individuals, and always striving to do right by others as central to his accomplishments. His decision to enter real estate was guided by a desire to continue helping people navigate important life decisions, mirroring the sense of purpose that defined his Army service.
The brokerage where Mr. Phillips works operates under broker Edie Leon's leadership, emphasizing agent support through training opportunities and fair commission structures. He was drawn specifically to The Great Home Team led by Will Harris — also medically retired from the Army — whose vision for building a collaborative team aligned closely with Mr. Phillips' own philosophy. Since joining at the start of 2023 after obtaining his real estate license at the end of December 2022, Mr. Phillips has contributed significantly to the team's growth alongside Harris.
Civic involvement is another hallmark of Mr. Phillips' career. He sponsors events for the Dallas Army Recruiting Battalion of the U.S. Army Recruiting Command by providing food for ceremonies such as change of responsibility or command that units might otherwise be unable to fund. During recent holiday seasons, he organized Christmas parties for Dallas, Plano-McKinney and Fort Worth recruiting entities by covering catering costs or hosting events at local venues while arranging raffles for children's gifts — even compiling personalized lists so every child received a present delivered by Santa Claus.
Recognition for Mr. Phillips' professional achievements includes being named among the top 6% of realtors by Real Producers Magazine for North Dallas, North Fort Worth and Fort Worth markets across two consecutive years in 2024 and 2025, along with features in D Magazine "Best Real Estate Agents & Top Producers" during those same years with an additional appearance announced for September 2026. Within Local Realty Agency, he earned the King Slayer Award based on production ranking number one in volume, number one in units sold, and number one in GCI across all agents at the brokerage, while earlier honors include induction into Who's Who Among American High School Students during 2004-2005.
Born in Fresno, Mr. Phillips enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter watching movies, exploring the Dallas-Fort Worth area or hosting barbecues with friends at home. He participates in competitive shooting events that serve both recreational purposes and veterans' support initiatives he hopes to sponsor further; hunting and video gaming are additional hobbies that help him unwind.
Looking ahead, Mr. Phillips plans to become a broker associate by obtaining his broker's license so he can open his own brokerage focused on serving clients alongside like-minded professionals interested in joining him from both past military service and client relationships developed over time. He also hopes to purchase a home for his parents so they can relocate closer to family while maintaining consistency in service delivery as he continues building upon his achievements within real estate before eventually stepping back from day-to-day operations.
