As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

Mr. Simpson's professional journey is marked by a dynamic transition from the culinary arts to technology, reflecting a remarkable adaptability and commitment to lifelong learning. Since August 2025, he has served as the Intel business development manager at Dell Technologies, where he manages business development activities for Dell's top 50 customer accounts. In this capacity, Mr. Simpson travels extensively to engage customers, partners, and stakeholders; conducts training sessions on Dell and Intel solutions; organizes and sponsors customer events to strengthen relationships and business opportunities; and delivers ongoing product training to sales teams on the latest Intel technologies. He also supports Dell sellers with product positioning and sales strategies amid supply and demand constraints, advises on product availability and competitive positioning, monitors new product releases and industry developments to maintain technical expertise, and continuously learns emerging technologies to translate knowledge into customer and sales enablement.

Before his current role, Mr. Simpson spent six years as a technical sales representative at Dell Technologies from 2018 to 2025. During this period, he developed foundational skills in sales and technology that supported his successful transition from hospitality to the tech sector.

Mr. Simpson's earlier career was rooted in the hospitality industry, where he built a reputation as a talented chef over a span of 25 years. His journey in hospitality started when he was 20 years old. Overall, he spent 12 years working in hotels and 13 years in high-end restaurants. Chef Simpson wanted to continually expand his knowledge on food and cuisines from all over the globe. In general, he would spend 2-3 years at an establishment and then move on to the next pursuit to immerse himself in new challenges and cuisine.

Mr. Simpson expanded his responsibilities as both executive chef and general manager at AmPm Restaurant and Lounge. Hosting huge nightlife events in addition to being a full time restaurant. Earlier roles included serving as executive chef at N9NE Steakhouse from 2006 to 2009, where he further honed his management skills in high-volume environments. He was executive sous chef at Nobu Restaurants from 2005 to 2006 and previously held the same position at Hotel ZaZa between 2002 and 2005. His experience also includes working as sous chef at Hotel Crescent Court from 2001 to 2002 and as tournant at Rosewood Mansion on Turtle Creek from 1999 to 2000.

A significant milestone in Mr. Simpson's culinary career occurred in 2003 when he hosted a dinner at the renowned James Beard House in New York City alongside celebrity chef Stephan Pyles and executive chef Jeff Moschetti. This achievement underscored his prominence within the culinary community.

Mr. Simpson's educational background laid the foundation for his early success in hospitality. He earned an associate's degree in culinary arts from California Culinary Academy in San Francisco in 1998. Family traditions cultivated his passion for cooking in his youth, but it was further shaped after his parents' divorce in high school—a turning point that required him to become self-reliant. After finding traditional college unsatisfying, he joined a friend's restaurant group, which sparked his culinary ambitions.

His formal education was complemented by international experiences in St. Croix at the Westin Carambola Beach Resort and in San Lorenzo, Argentina, where he worked at a historic castle-turned-hotel with a large restaurant operation originally built in the 1920s.

After many years of excelling as a chef, Mr. Simpson faced a new challenge when diagnosed with multiple sclerosis. Advised by medical professionals to leave the high-stress hospitality industry, he relocated to Austin, Texas, where an encounter with a Dell executive led him into technical sales despite having limited experience in the field. Over time, perseverance enabled him to adapt successfully within technology sales before advancing into business development management.

Throughout his career transitions, Mr. Simpson credits unwavering perseverance and an approach of treating each day as a new beginning for his achievements across diverse industries.

Beyond his professional pursuits, Mr. Simpson is civically engaged through involvement with True Ability Employee Resource Groups at Dell Technologies and regular volunteer work every Saturday at a local shelter.

In addition to hosting the James Beard House dinner in New York City in 2003—a testament to his culinary expertise—he remains passionate about sharing insights into the demanding nature of hospitality. He believes that working in hospitality fosters humility due to its unique challenges and complexities.

On a personal level, Mr. Simpson was born in Stella, Missouri and has been married to Suzanne for over two decades. Together they have a daughter named Teegan, who is preparing to start high school soon. A dedicated San Francisco Giants baseball fan, Mr. Simpson is on a quest to visit every major league ballpark, with only five remaining on his list. He enjoys traveling with family while exploring new destinations through baseball.

Looking ahead, Mr. Simpson aims to continue growing with Dell Technologies as technology rapidly evolves—particularly with advancements such as artificial intelligence transforming daily life worldwide. He remains committed to embracing change while living each day fully and realistically acknowledging life's unpredictability as part of what drives continual progress both personally and professionally.
