CARY, NC, September 02, 2026 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Adam Pittman has been selected for inclusion in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
Mr. Pittman currently serves as the president and owner of Computerbilities in Cary, North Carolina, a position he has held since 1995. Under his leadership, the company has achieved three decades of uninterrupted operation, a milestone Mr. Pittman regards as his most significant professional accomplishment. This achievement is particularly meaningful given the challenges he faced with earlier business ventures. As a cybersecurity expert, he has guided Computerbilities to become a trusted provider of information technology solutions, earning recognition for its longevity and innovation in the industry.
Adam is the author of "Hackers Need to Make a Living, Too," "Scammers Need to Make a Living, Too" and "E-Z Cybersecurity for Construction Contractors." He is also a frequent speaker and media contributor on cybersecurity, cybercrime, and business technology. Adam has appeared as a cybersecurity expert in the documentaries Cyber Crime, Cyber Crime: The Dark Web Uncovered, and Cybercrime: Fallout, and he is also credited as a producer of Cybercrime: Fallout.
In addition to his primary role at Computerbilities, Mr. Pittman is also president of Orbis Cybersecurity, where he continues to advance best practices in digital protection and risk management. Prior to his current roles, he served as president of CompuWorks Inc. from 1991 to 1996, following five years as vice president of operations at DSI Industries.
Mr. Pittman's professional journey began with distinguished service in the U.S. Air Force from 1979 to 1986. As a Staff Sergeant and 7-level aircraft weapons specialist, he worked on F-111 and B-52G aircraft, developing technical skills and discipline that would later inform his approach to business leadership and problem-solving. Throughout his career, his military and civilian contributions have been recognized with several honors, including being named one of the Top 10 Aspiring Leaders by Industry Era Magazine in 2023 and receiving the Department of Defense Patriot Award.
Beyond his professional pursuits, Mr. Pittman is committed to civic engagement and community support. He is an active supporter of The Carying Place in Cary, North Carolina, a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing transitional housing and financial literacy education for working families with children facing homelessness. Through Computerbilities, he manages all computer and information technology needs for the organization, furthering its mission through technological empowerment.
In his personal life, Mr. Pittman values family life and enjoys spending time with his son, who works alongside him at Computerbilities. His personal interests include sailing, scuba diving, and snorkeling—activities he pursues during visits to the Virgin Islands where he grew up—as well as maintaining his vintage 1970 Mustang. Looking ahead, he aims to expand Computerbilities while prioritizing community education on cybersecurity through speaking engagements, locally and anywhere across the United States. His goal is to protect the economy by educating the public on how to counter commercial scammers and foreign adversaries that target national vulnerabilities.
