His proficiency in this area is rooted in his academic background and has been shaped by more than two decades of experience trading derivatives. Mr. Weaver continues to consult with families, businesses, and corporations on investments and financing for mergers and acquisitions in capital markets.
Mr. Weaver previously worked as a sales consultant for Marck Industries Inc. from 2023 to 2024, where he contributed to business development initiatives. Earlier, in 2022, he briefly managed operations as a lobsterman at Weaver Enterprises. Between 2019 and 2022, Mr. Weaver held the role of vice president of sales at Partners Capital Group. Before advancing to vice president, he began with the organization as a senior national account executive, a role he maintained from 2019 to 2021.
Among other opportunities, Mr. Weaver was employed by Waddell & Reed as a financial advisor, where he provided comprehensive financial planning services and managed investments for over 75 households during his five-year residency in Seattle. His responsibilities included guiding clients through wealth management strategies and portfolio development. Mr. Weaver also worked for Cascade Community Wind Co. as a marketing director, Fifth on Sixth Marketing as an advertising executive and Creative Openings as a sales manager, dating back to 2008. In academia, he garnered success as an associate professor at Macao Polytechnic Institute, where he taught public relations courses. During this period, he contributed to major marketing efforts for events such as the grand opening of MGM casinos and the first Starbucks in Macau.
Some of Mr. Weaver's earliest positions included working for himself as a management consultant for more than a decade from 1996 to 2008, working on projects across Asia, including feasibility studies for a yacht club and a 36-hole golf course in Sanya on Hainan Island, China. He also played a role in pursuing World Heritage designation for Macau through the Institute of Tourism and contributed to projects at True North Golf and Country Club in the Philippines. Mr. Weaver's earlier professional experiences include serving as assistant manager at Westin Resort Macau from 1996 to 1998 and as golf coordinator at Macau Golf & Country Club beginning in 1994.
Mr. Weaver's educational background included earning a Bachelor of Arts in political science and government from the University of Hawaii at Manoa, completed in 1994, and a Master of Business Administration in international business from Hawaii Pacific University in Honolulu in 2000. His academic journey was instrumental in shaping his approach to finance and investments. In addition to his formal education, Mr. Weaver continued his professional development through certifications, including Series 7 from the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority and Series 66 from the North American Securities Administrators Association, as well as credentials in artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning from the University of Texas at Austin.
