KALISPELL, MT, September 08, 2026 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Ted Clyde has been recognized for achievement in financial planning and analysis.
Mr. Clyde's tenure has defined his most recent professional chapter as a corporate financial planning and analysis analyst II at Glacier Bancorp Inc. in Kalispell, Montana, a role he upheld from 2023 to 2026. In this capacity, Mr. Clyde was responsible for building and refining the company's financial model, a complex task given Glacier Bancorp's status as Montana's largest publicly traded bank holding company with $31 billion in assets, approximately 4,500 employees and over 9 bank divisions across nearly 10 states.
Mr. Clyde's work at Glacier Bancorp Inc. included preparing forecasts and long-term outlooks for quarterly earnings calls and supporting the chief financial officer, chief executive officer and other senior leaders. During a period marked by rising interest rates and an inverted U.S. Treasury yield curve, his expertise was instrumental in identifying budget variances and forecasting expense management strategies. Mr. Clyde also collaborated with business intelligence teams to create performance dashboards using Microsoft Power BI, enabling each division to monitor key financial measures, such as deposit costs, loan yields and vendor expenses. While he continually optimized business operations throughout his time at Glacier Bancorp Inc., the anticipated progression to a senior business partner role did not materialize. Mr. Clyde ultimately chose to leave the company on good terms in pursuit of opportunities that would further challenge his skills and support his long-term career aspirations.
Before joining Glacier Bancorp Inc., Mr. Clyde spent nearly a decade at Whitefish Credit Union in Whitefish, Montana, between 2014 and 2023 as a senior financial specialist. Tasked with building the financial planning and analysis department from the ground up, he dedicated the first five to six years to developing a comprehensive financial model based on historical data to produce robust budgets and forecasts. In his later years at Whitefish Credit Union, Mr. Clyde shifted focus toward process improvement and systems development, including assisting the software team in constructing a data warehouse and creating executive dashboards for performance monitoring. His efforts provided leadership with actionable insights into the credit union's financial health and operational efficiency.
Earlier in his career, Mr. Clyde served as a senior financial specialist at the Montana Facility Finance Authority within the State Department of Commerce in Helena from 2012 to 2014. The authority functioned as the de facto issuer of municipal bonds for healthcare organizations throughout the state. His responsibilities included conducting credit and financial analyses as well as preparing detailed case reports for submission to the governor's office, legislative audit committees, and the board of directors for bond approvals. This role afforded Mr. Clyde valuable exposure to high-level government officials and hospital executives early in his career.
In addition to his primary roles, Mr. Clyde contributed his expertise as an asset-liability committee member at both Whitefish Credit Union and Glacier Bancorp Inc. These committees focused on asset-liability management, a critical practice in banking that ensures profitability by managing the spread between deposit costs and loan yields while conducting interest rate shock testing required by regulators. Although he did not hold voting rights on these committees, Mr. Clyde regularly provided insight into pricing trends based on his financial planning and analysis background.
Mr. Clyde's academic foundation was established at the University of Montana in Missoula, where he completed both a Bachelor of Science in finance and a Bachelor of Arts in mathematical sciences. Enrolling with strong interests in mathematics, science and business, he pursued two distinct degree programs that shared little overlap beyond general education requirements. The demanding nature of this dual-degree path required seven years of continuous study without skipping a semester, an experience that shaped Mr. Clyde's perseverance and determination. He credits this period with instilling the resolve that has characterized his professional journey.
The roots of Mr. Clyde's success can be traced to formative influences during his upbringing in Saint Regis and Superior, small towns in Western Montana. He attributes much of his drive to his parents' unwavering support over more than five decades of marriage, which allowed him to explore various sports throughout childhood. Participation in basketball, track and field, and baseball during high school fostered competitiveness, teamwork and networking instincts that have translated into his career achievements. Mr. Clyde's older brother also served as an inspiration by attending college ahead of him and building a successful career afterward.
Throughout his professional life, Mr. Clyde has been particularly proud of building financial models from scratch at both Whitefish Credit Union and Glacier Bancorp Inc., accomplishments requiring collaboration across information technology, business intelligence and data warehouse teams as well as outside vendors. He values his ability to communicate effectively with senior executives by tailoring presentations according to their preferences for detail or brevity, ensuring clarity whether addressing high-level summaries or detailed analyses.
Looking ahead, Mr. Clyde plans to continue developing his career in corporate finance with an emphasis on financial planning and analysis within organizations committed to investing in their employees' growth. While open to pursuing executive opportunities if circumstances align with his strengths and interests, he seeks roles that allow him to make strategic contributions without necessarily taking on additional bureaucratic responsibilities.
