EV charging discussions usually focus on power output, charging speed and station availability. EVDANCE is putting attention on a simpler variable: distance.
The company calls it the "Last-Meter Charging Geometry Gap" — the physical mismatch between where charging equipment is installed and where an EV can actually park.
The problem is common. A NEMA 14-50 outlet may be positioned inside a garage while a vehicle sits in the driveway. HOA restrictions can limit charger placement. A hotel destination charger may be operational while its designated stall is occupied. Larger EVs such as the Rivian R1S and Ford F-150 Lightning can further complicate cable reach because vehicle dimensions and charge-port locations do not always align with existing installations.
The charger works.

EVDANCE's EV Extension Cable lineup is designed to address that gap with multiple cable lengths, connector configurations and electrical ratings for compatible EV charging systems.

Independent Third-Party Field Validation
The Last-Meter Charging Geometry Gap has also appeared in independent real-world testing.
Walter, creator of The Network Architect Channel, recently demonstrated an EVDANCE EV Extension Cable in residential and travel scenarios. In one test, a Rivian R1S remained in a driveway while a Tesla Wall Connector was positioned inside the garage. The original cable could not reach the vehicle; the EVDANCE extension provided the additional distance required for the demonstrated setup.
Walter also examined a hotel charging scenario in which available destination charging spaces were not usable as intended, illustrating how additional cable reach can provide another option when parking conditions change.

High-Current Charging Requires Specific Ratings
An EV extension cable is not an ordinary household extension cord. EV charging can operate as a continuous load for extended periods, making conductor size, thermal management, connector design and rated current critical considerations.
EVDANCE offers models rated for different charging conditions, including configurations supporting up to 50 amps at 240 volts and up to 12 kW, depending on the model. Select configurations use heavy-duty copper conductors, including 8 AWG copper where specified, with cable construction designed for sustained EV charging loads and reduced voltage drop.
The lineup includes NACS and J1772 configurations and models with IP66-rated protection for dust and water resistance within their specified operating conditions.
Current limits remain model-specific. The 30-foot cable demonstrated by Walter is rated for a maximum of 40 amps, and he adjusted the vehicle's charging limit to 40 amps before charging. Drivers should follow the specific cable rating, EVSE and vehicle requirements, circuit design, installation instructions and applicable electrical codes.
