From 2023 to 2024, Mr. Vaughan held the role of chief engineer for M/Y Laurel in superyacht operations. This followed after holding the same title for M/Y Maison Blanche from 2022 to 2023, where he continued to demonstrate technical proficiency and leadership in managing complex marine systems aboard luxury vessels. Mr. Vaughan was initially affiliated with M/Y Laurel as a chief engineer between 2020 and 2022.
For over a decade, Mr. Vaughan garnered similar success as a chief engineer with M/Y Quantum of Solace, then with M/Y Limitless, followed by roles as a marine operations manager and senior engineer at Quorum Management, Private Fleet Operations and Technical Management, and chief engineer with M/Y Constance. Maintaining high standards of performance was essential to his work.
Among various other progressive positions, the foundation of Mr. Vaughan's maritime career included working as both an engineer and service technician for commercial, patrol and passenger vessels between 1991 and 1995, working within commercial marine and government workboats sectors. From 1987 to 1990, he was an engineering tradesman as well as commissioning and sea-trial engineer specializing in aluminum superyacht construction and commissioning at Oceanfast. Mr. Vaughan's earliest professional experience dates back to 1984 when he served as a mechanical fitter and machinist apprentice in industrial mechanical engineering at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital under the Government of Western Australia.
Throughout this extensive career, Mr. Vaughan has obtained certifications from both the Maritime and Coastguard Agency in the U.K. and the Australian Maritime College. These credentials have been instrumental in ensuring compliance with international standards while enhancing technical capabilities across diverse maritime environments.
