His responsibilities included managing large-scale engineering programs, implementing critical infrastructure, and developing new projects supported by advanced process-control and electrical-simulation methodologies.

From 2019 to 2020, Mr. Sewell served as a senior project manager at Barry-Wehmiller Design Group in Houston, leading multidisciplinary teams through all phases of project execution with an emphasis on collaboration, efficiency, and disciplined project governance.

As a project director at ARM Energy — a private-equity-backed midstream developer — Mr. Sewell directed high-value infrastructure projects and expanded the company's asset portfolio. His proudest achievement was the construction of a major West Texas processing plant completed in 13 months, significantly outpacing typical industry timelines.

Earlier in his career, Mr. Sewell spent six years at DCP Midstream (now part of Phillips 66 Company) in Houston. Serving as the sole asset engineer for the company's largest and most profitable facility, he managed multiple concurrent multimillion-dollar projects, coordinated field engineering teams, and secured stakeholder support for stage-gate initiatives focused on economics and feasibility.

Mr. Sewell earned a Master of Business Administration in organizational leadership from the University of Houston–Downtown in 2017. He also holds a Bachelor of Science in chemical and biomolecular engineering from the University of Tennessee Knoxville, graduating in the program's inaugural class in 2010, where he contributed to early research in reflux-flow batteries and fast-switching device reliability.

Mr. Sewell began his professional journey in western Kansas, gaining hands-on experience in daily operations, maintenance, and small-scale projects. His transition into midstream oil and gas at the National Helium Plant — the largest helium complex in the United States — culminated in a major plant upgrade that expanded capacity and introduced him to large-scale project management.

At his peak, he oversaw more than $1.5 billion in concurrent assets and managed over 2,000 contractors. Among his notable accomplishments was supporting the sale of the Kingfisher Midstream system in central Oklahoma for a 3.55x return on investment — a comprehensive effort involving a new processing plant, hundreds of miles of pipeline, nine compressor stations, and more than 200 well connections.

In western Texas, Mr. Sewell designed a large facility complex on a 370-acre site with six plant designs underway, while managing man camps and constructing infrastructure across large-scale development sites. His responsibilities extended to investor relations, customer management, and staffing support, reflecting his executive capability in overseeing operations and engineering functions.
