Before joining bp, Ms. Rodriguez Zaidiza was global curriculum associate for drilling, digital well construction and new energies at SLB from 2020 to 2023. During this period, she focused on shaping educational programs and advancing technical knowledge within the top oil field services organization. Additionally, from 2018 to 2023, she served as global drilling and well engineering technical community leader at SLB, where she played a pivotal role in fostering collaboration and sharing best practices among professionals worldwide.
From 2017 to 2020, Ms. Rodriguez Zaidiza held the position of global consulting drilling team leader at SLB. In this capacity, she led teams responsible for executing complex drilling operations and contributed to the company's reputation for technical excellence. Between 2012 and 2017, she was well construction leader at SLB, further solidifying her standing as an innovator in the field.
In 2012, Ms. Rodriguez Zaidiza worked as an IPM drilling and completions lead well engineer for joint ventures between the Ecuador's national oil company, and SLB in Quito, Ecuador. This experience broadened her international perspective and deepened her understanding of collaborative projects across the most challenging drilling contexts globally.
Her earlier roles include serving as well integrity champion at SLB in the most geologically complex field in the planet as per SPE documentation in Barrancabermeja, Colombia, from 2009 to 2010. In 2009, she was IPM drilling and completions well engineer for the automated factory drilling and completions project at SLB in Poza Rica, Mexico. From 2008 to 2009, she took on the responsibilities of IPM drilling and completions well engineer for a waterflooding joint venture with Ecopetrol and SLB in Barrancabermeja, Colombia. Ms. Rodriguez Zaidiza began her professional journey as a planning engineer with Ecopetrol and SLB in Barrancabermeja in 2008.
Throughout her career, Ms. Rodriguez Zaidiza has been an active member of key industry organizations, including the American Association of Drilling Engineers and the Society of Petroleum Engineers.
