Marked by over two decades of diverse experience across food safety and risk mitigation, Ms. Gallo currently serves as the Director of Safety, Quality and Loss Prevention at Dutch Bros Coffee in Phoenix, Arizona. In this capacity since 2025, she has played a pivotal role in establishing and nurturing a robust food safety culture for the brand. Known for its focus on personal engagement and a people-first approach, Dutch Bros has experienced notable success under her leadership. She assembled a team of seasoned professionals who have built and developed food safety, occupational safety and loss prevention protocols from the ground up.

Ms. Gallo's efforts have led to the rapid implementation and adoption of these initiatives across the organization, which targets a youthful demographic and prioritizes customer connection over traditional corporate models. Though her tenure includes multiple milestones, she takes particular pride in elevating safety to a top priority at Dutch Bros, making it a central component of the company's daily operations.

Before joining Dutch Bros Coffee, Ms. Gallo was a corporate account manager with Ecolab from 2024 to 2025. In this position, she drove corporate revenue by selling enterprise food safety solutions, expanding the client portfolio through targeted business development, and maintaining high retention across key accounts. Prior to this, she served as the Senior Food Brand Protection Manager with Brand Operation Services (then part of Deloitte) following its acquisition by Ecolab from 2023 to 2024, during which she oversaw brand protection strategies and ensured the highest standards of food safety for major clients.

From 2022 to 2023, Ms. Gallo held the position of Senior Food Brand Protection Manager at Deloitte Risk & Financial Advisory. Contributing her knowledge as a food safety subject matter expert, she supported clients in training and coaching their teams as well as developing and maintaining rigorous safety programs.

Ms. Gallo's career also included three years as a Senior Safety Professional at The Walt Disney Company in Orlando, Florida, where she led food safety and occupational safety at Epcot. This role followed her work as a Food Safety Manager at Amazon from 2016 to 2019, during which she was pivotal in launching supplier and regulatory approval for innovative concepts such as Treasure Truck and Amazon Go. She ensured that efficient operational safety systems were in place while also exploring ways to enhance safety.

In addition to her corporate roles, Ms. Gallo served as a faculty member at Michigan State University from 2016 to 2017, teaching portions of a master's level beverage course and authoring a piece on coffee food safety through the university.

Earlier in her career, Ms. Gallo spent several years at Starbucks beginning in 2012. Starting as a Retail Quality Assurance Manager, she rose through the ranks to become a Facilities Services Manager in 2015 and a Quality Assurance Manager in 2016. Throughout her time with Starbucks, she made significant contributions in the Chicago market, particularly by transforming it into the top market for food safety and cleanliness among 14 other markets.

Prior to joining Starbucks, Ms. Gallo worked as a Quality Assurance Supervisor at Nestlé USA from 2011 to 2012 after serving as a quality and sanitation manager at American Licorice Company from 2010 to 2011. She began her journey in public health as an Environmental Health Specialist II with the State of Georgia from 2006 to 2010, gaining hands-on experience inspecting restaurants while enhancing her expertise in regulatory compliance.

Ms. Gallo's professional history includes positions such as Senior Construction Officer at Builders Bank, Environmental Risk Administrator at JPMorgan Chase, Geologist at United Research Services (URS) Corporation and Staff Geologist at Clayton Group Services. Over the course of six years in these positions, she developed many of the foundational skills in risk management and consulting practices that would later support her transition into safety leadership.

Hailing from an equally accomplished academic background, Ms. Gallo earned a Master of Science in food safety from Michigan State University in 2014 as well as a Bachelor of Arts in geology with a minor in English from Augustana College in 2001.

Dedicated to the ideals of continuous learning and growth, Ms. Gallo was certified as a Lean Six Sigma green belt in 2012 and in first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) in 2010. Furthermore, she obtained the FD215 certificate for managing retail food safety from the United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA) in 2007 and was recognized as a standardized food inspection and training officer by the Georgia Department of Community Health from 2009 to 2014.

Reflecting on her storied journey to date, Ms. Gallo attributes much of her success to focusing on people rather than solely on scientific principles when implementing food safety measures. She believes that making complex scientific concepts relatable helps to foster greater understanding among operational teams, allowing for more effective integration of safety practices without compromising efficiency or productivity.

Ms. Gallo's early exposure to environmental consulting, which came after she graduated from college, gave her valuable experience in environmental compliance for various firms before she moved into public health inspection work during her time living in Savannah, Georgia. It was here that she discovered her passion for microbiology and foodborne illness prevention — interests that would shape her subsequent career trajectory.

Beyond her professional pursuits, Ms. Gallo is civically engaged as a volunteer with Save Our Starving Children, demonstrating her dedication to broader community well-being. She has also contributed scholarly work as the co-author of "Evidence of Two Boulder Pavements in the Minnesota River Valley," which was published in the influential Geological Society of America.

Ms. Gallo enjoys running, cycling, and gardening alongside her partner, and selling plants from their greenhouse in Scottsdale as a balance to her professional responsibilities.

Looking toward the future, Ms. Gallo intends to continue fostering a strong culture of food safety within Dutch Bros Coffee while aspiring toward executive leadership roles such as vice president.
