LOS ANGELES, CA, September 14, 2026 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Maria-Karmina Landicho has built a multifaceted career around the belief that storytelling has the power to create visibility, shape culture and expand what people believe is possible. A communications and creative executive, two-time author, entrepreneur and founder of Fil-Am Game Changers, Ms. Landicho has spent her career helping people, brands and communities tell stories that connect with audiences and create meaningful impact.
Her professional journey has taken her across media, entertainment, editorial leadership, executive communications and creative operations. Yet the through-line has remained consistent: a commitment to amplifying voices, building platforms and translating ambitious ideas into narratives that move people to engage, connect and act.
Today, Ms. Landicho serves as Director of Communications for SUPERCHARGED, where she leads cross-functional communications, content, creative and media production initiatives. Her work brings together strategic communications and creative execution, helping translate executive vision into cohesive narratives, campaigns and experiences while supporting the teams and operational systems required to bring complex initiatives to life.
In 2017, Ms. Landicho founded Fil-Am Game Changers, a Los Angeles-based platform dedicated to recognizing and amplifying Filipino Americans making meaningful contributions across industries. Inspired in part by her own experience growing up with limited representation in mainstream media and culture, she created the platform to celebrate achievement while creating greater visibility and inspiration for future generations.
Through Fil-Am Game Changers, Ms. Landicho has helped spotlight leaders and trailblazers while contributing to a broader conversation about representation, identity and the importance of seeing diverse stories reflected in culture. Her work was recognized by the City of Los Angeles, which honored her with a Key to the City. Throughout her career, Ms. Landicho has evolved from hands-on media and editorial roles into executive leadership positions requiring both creative vision and strategic execution. Her ability to operate as both a strategist and an operator has become a defining characteristic of her work: she can help shape the vision and narrative behind an initiative while also understanding the people, systems and processes required to bring that vision to life.
Ms. Landicho is also a two-time author, extending her commitment to storytelling beyond her professional work. Through writing, she has explored themes of personal growth, transformation and resilience while developing a voice and body of work uniquely her own. Her affiliations include the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People and the Asian American Journalists Association. She has also served in leadership capacities with the Society of Professional Journalists.
Her approach to leadership reflects a belief that professional success carries a responsibility to create greater access and opportunity for the communities one serves.
Ms. Landicho earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications with a concentration in Multimedia and a minor in Sociology from California State University, Fullerton, graduating in 2018. Her academic background provided a foundation for a career that combines an understanding of communication, culture and human behavior with the evolving demands of digital media and creative strategy.
Throughout her career, Ms. Landicho has remained committed to a leadership approach rooted in empathy, curiosity and possibility. She believes that the strongest teams are built when people feel both supported and challenged, and that creativity is most powerful when it is paired with strategic clarity and meaningful execution.
Ms. Landicho's contributions have been recognized through civic and institutional distinctions, including receiving the Key to the City of Los Angeles for her work with Fil-Am Game Changers. In 2024, Syracuse University also honored Ms. Landicho through Fil-Am Game Changers with its "Making a Difference" recognition, acknowledging the initiative's positive impact and contributions to the Filipino American community in music and entertainment.
Outside of her professional commitments, Ms. Landicho values writing, wellness and practices that support reflection and personal growth. Looking ahead, she plans to continue expanding her work at the intersection of communications, entrepreneurship and community impact. She remains committed to the continued growth of Fil-Am Game Changers while developing new ventures that reflect her interests in storytelling, representation, creativity and empowerment, including her emerging beauty brand, Saint Opal.
As her career continues to evolve, Ms. Landicho remains focused on building more than campaigns or individual projects. Her broader ambition is to create platforms, opportunities and communities that help others see what is possible for themselves.
"My career has taught me that visibility matters," Ms. Landicho said. "When people can see themselves, their stories and their possibilities reflected in the world around them, it can change what they believe they are capable of. Whether through media, writing, communications or community building, that has always been the work that matters most to me."
Ms. Landicho's career reflects a commitment to continuous learning, creative leadership and the belief that storytelling can be a catalyst for opportunity and change. As she continues to expand her work across media, entrepreneurship and community initiatives, she remains focused on building platforms, amplifying meaningful voices and creating a lasting impact through creativity, strategy and service.
