Dr. Thorn's career in prosthodontics is marked by determination, expertise and a commitment to improving the lives of her patients. In September 2025, she opened Hallmark Prosthodontics in Pearland, Texas, where she serves as chief executive officer and prosthodontist. Establishing her own dental practice stands as a testament to her dedication to building a reputable brand and serving her community. Her expertise in prosthodontics is further recognized through her memberships in the American Dental Association, the American College of Prosthodontics, the Pearland Chamber of Commerce and the Brazoria County Hispanic Chamber of Commerce.

Prior to opening her practice, Dr. Thorn contributed to academia and clinical training at Indiana University, Purdue University Indianapolis. Since 2017, she has held the position of graduate teaching assistant, sharing her knowledge with aspiring dental professionals. Additionally, she has served as a senior resident at the same institution since 2016, further honing her clinical skills and mentoring others in the field.

Earlier in her career, Dr. Thorn completed an internship in prosthodontics at the Universidad de Puerto Rico in 2014. Her journey in specialized dentistry began with an internship in prosthodontics at UTHealth Houston from 2006 to 2007, laying the foundation for her future accomplishments.

A defining moment in Dr. Thorn's professional journey was restoring her mother's teeth after graduation from her postgraduate program. Motivated by her mother's experience wearing dentures since childhood due to a car accident, Dr. Thorn pursued prosthodontics with the goal of making a meaningful difference. Her mother became her first patient, and Dr. Thorn successfully restored her smile, which remains one of her proudest achievements.

Academically, Dr. Thorn's background reflects a steadfast pursuit of excellence. She earned a Master of Science in Dentistry in prosthodontics from Indiana University School of Dentistry in Indianapolis in 2019. Her education provided the advanced training necessary for success as both a clinician and educator. The challenges she faced upon arriving in the United States in 2002—without knowledge of English—shaped her resilience and adaptability. While working as a dental assistant for minimum wage, she taught herself English and later advanced through rigorous academic programs.

Throughout her life, Dr. Thorn's faith has been central to overcoming obstacles. She attributes both her personal and professional achievements to her belief that God guides and facilitates every aspect of her journey, especially as she adapted to new cultures and languages while pursuing professional goals.

Dr. Thorn's accomplishments have been recognized through several honors, including ranking among the top three graduates of her class at Indiana University in 2019, receiving a scholarship from the John F. Johnson Society at Indiana University and earning an honorable mention certificate from dental school in Venezuela.

Outside of her professional responsibilities, Dr. Thorn enjoys health and fitness activities such as working out at the gym and reading. She is devoted to supporting her son and daughter as they pursue their educational ambitions and is also actively involved in civic initiatives, supporting humanitarian efforts as a donor for Venezuela earthquake relief.

Looking ahead, she strives to expand Hallmark Prosthodontics while establishing herself as a respected leader within Pearland and its neighboring communities.
