Since 2023, Dr. Golmakani has also led Dr. G Periodontics PLLC, through which she provides specialized surgical periodontal and implant treatment across multiple clinical locations. Her practice focuses on delivering high-quality, evidence-based care while expanding access to advanced periodontal and implant procedures. In addition to her clinical work, she serves as a consultant on implant materials and the clinical and educational aspects of dental products, further demonstrating her commitment to innovation within the profession.
Dr. Golmakani has maintained a longstanding leadership role with Dental365 since 2019, serving as a periodontist and clinical leader as a chief dental officer. Through these roles, she has contributed to both the clinical development and business growth of the organization while helping support standards of care, provider development and patient-centered clinical operations. Earlier in her career, she also spent two years as an associate dentist at Stamford Dental Arts, where she expanded her experience in comprehensive and restorative dental care.
Dr. Golmakani's academic background has been central to the development of her career. She earned a Bachelor of Science from the University of Toronto before completing her Doctor of Dental Surgery at New York University College of Dentistry in 2018. She subsequently completed a general practice residency at NYU Langone Hospital–Brooklyn from 2018 to 2019, followed by an advanced specialty residency in periodontics and implant dentistry at New York University, which she completed in 2023.
In recognition of her advanced specialty training and clinical expertise, Dr. Golmakani achieved board certification in periodontics through the American Board of Periodontology in 2024. She is licensed to practice dentistry by the New York State Education Department and also maintains certifications in basic life support and advanced cardiovascular life support.
Throughout her academic and professional career, Dr. Golmakani has received recognition for both clinical excellence and leadership. During the final year of her periodontal residency, she received the Tri-School Periodontal Symposium Case Presentation Award, an honor associated with collaborative presentations involving New York University, the University of Pennsylvania and Boston University.
Dr. Golmakani remains actively engaged with the broader dental community through professional organizations including the American Academy of Periodontology, the American Dental Association, the New York State Dental Association and the Second District Dental Society.
Her commitment to service began well before her professional dental career. From 2008 to 2014, Dr. Golmakani volunteered at St. Joseph's Health Centre in Toronto, Ontario, where she participated in community health initiatives and developed many of the foundational patient-care skills that continue to shape her approach today. Beyond dentistry, she is also a supporter of the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.
Dr. Golmakani attributes much of her professional success to effective communication, compassion and the ability to establish genuine trust with her patients. She believes that exceptional dentistry extends beyond technical treatment and begins with listening carefully, educating patients and helping them understand their conditions and treatment options. Her philosophy is centered on treating every patient with the same care and consideration she would extend to a member of her own family while maintaining the highest standards of clinical excellence.
Looking ahead, Dr. Golmakani plans to further expand her academic and educational work by developing hands-on surgical training programs focused on implant placement, sinus elevation and other advanced surgical techniques for general dentists and specialists seeking additional training. She also intends to broaden her role within New York University, continue contributing to implant education and innovation through industry partnerships, and pursue greater leadership responsibilities within Dental365. Through these efforts, she hopes to continue advancing the profession while improving the lives of patients through education, clinical excellence and compassionate care.
