His expertise encompasses consumer goods, including cosmetics and fragrances, pharmaceutical healthcare, dietary supplements, medical devices and home care products. Mr. Richburg's entrepreneurial venture represents a culmination of decades of experience and a renewed dedication to advancing quality standards across industries. Before establishing his own firm, he spent over a decade at The Clorox Company, initially in Kennesaw, Georgia, and later in Alpharetta, Georgia, where he held several pivotal positions. Hired in 2014 as a corporate QA senior QMS group manager, focusing on quality management systems for their newly Health Care Business at the time. In 2017, Mr. Richburg specialized in supplier management and corporate quality assurance governance, further solidifying his reputation for upholding rigorous standards in supplier relations and corporate oversight. Between 2022 and 2024, he was a global audits quality senior manager, where he contributed to the company's global compliance initiatives. His last role was as a global audits senior program manager, overseeing critical audit functions and a third-party auditing company on an international scale from 2024 to 2026.
Recruited to The Clorox Company from Tabitha Holdings, a medical device company in Dayton, New Jersey, Mr. Richburg held the role of vice president of quality assurance and regulatory affairs between 2012 and 2013. This position came after working for Access Business Group LLC (Amway) in Ada, Michigan, as a global quality programs senior group leader from 2010 to 2011, where he was instrumental in establishing robust quality systems for global implementation. Mr. Richburg's work with Amway included developing comprehensive training programs for auditors worldwide.
Mr. Richburg's career foundation was built during his extensive tenure at Procter & Gamble Company, which spanned over 20 years. Hired in 1987 as a plant quality assurance manager for the cosmetic and fragrance division in Hunt Valley, Maryland, he later became an Americas external supply quality assurance leader between 2001 and 2004. From there, Mr. Richburg held the roles of North America beauty care external supply material supply manager and North America fabric and home care external supply operations quality assurance capability manager until 2009.
Mr. Richburg's educational background included earning a Bachelor of Science in biology with a minor in chemistry from Alabama State University in Montgomery, Ala. in 1982. This academic foundation provided him with analytical skills and scientific knowledge essential for his later achievements in quality assurance. Mr. Richburg's professional credentials include certified fraud examiner through the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners, Lean Six Sigma master black belt from the International Society for Six Sigma Certifications, and certified quality engineer and certified quality auditor designations. These designations have enabled him to maintain high standards of integrity and technical proficiency throughout his career.
Membership in the American Society for Quality underscores Mr. Richburg's standing in the industry and his ongoing commitment to professional development. Beyond his professional affiliations, he has demonstrated civic engagement through volunteer work with mentoring for inner-city children, reflecting his dedication to giving back to the community.
Throughout his professional journey, Mr. Richburg has been recognized for creating a global quality assurance capability program for major corporations such as The Clorox Company and Amway Corporation. He also developed an intensive three-day training program that qualified internal and external auditors for global auditing across various businesses, attracting external participants from around the world to Atlanta for direct instruction under his guidance. Inspired by W. Edwards Deming, renowned as the father of quality assurance, Mr. Richburg was personally mentored by Mr. Deming's prior to his passing in 1993. He adopted Deming's principles of Total Quality Management (TQM), the PDCA Cycle, statistical process control and continuous improvement as guiding philosophies in his own work. He attributes his success to a steadfast value system centered on these principles, ethics, integrity and community contribution.
