Earlier in his career, Dr. Janjua completed an otolaryngology residency at Yale School of Medicine in 1998. During his final year, he served as Chief Resident and Clinical Instructor in Otolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery at Yale School of Medicine. During this period, he was exposed to both head and neck surgery as well as facial plastic surgery. Initially aspiring to become a head and neck cancer surgeon, he ultimately chose facial plastic surgery due to its technical demands and the positive outcomes it offered patients. He went on to complete a fellowship in facial plastic and reconstructive surgery through the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. Dr. Janjua earned his Doctor of Medicine degree from Aga Khan University in Karachi, Pakistan, in 1991.
