Reflecting on his tenure, Mr. Fornasiero is most proud of his profound impact on the industry as an investor, having partnered with entrepreneurs and families to build several well-known companies, including RoadOne, Evans Network and Allstates World Cargo. Prior to co-founding Clarendon Capital, Mr. Fornasiero spent four years at A.T. Kearney, where he held the position of senior manager. During his tenure at this management consulting firm, which is recognized for its specialized transportation logistics practice, he gained valuable experience working with clients across the sector. His responsibilities included advising organizations on strategic initiatives, operational improvements, and mergers and acquisitions.
Following the completion of his undergraduate studies, Mr. Fornasiero began his career with Princeton Transportation Group. This organization, founded by faculty from Princeton University and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, focused on developing innovative models to enhance trucking network efficiency. This foundational experience sparked his lasting passion for the industry and shaped the trajectory of his professional journey.
Mr. Fornasiero's academic achievements include earning a Master of Business Administration from Stanford Graduate School of Business in 1994, where he was recognized as an Arjay Miller Scholar for outstanding academic performance and earned his Public Management Certificate. He also earned a Bachelor of Science in Operations Research and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Cornell University in 1989, where he graduated with Distinction.
Throughout his career, Mr. Fornasiero has credited his educational background with equipping him with analytical skills and strategic thinking that have been instrumental throughout his career. He attributes much of his success to resilience developed during a childhood marked by frequent moves and family changes. These formative experiences instilled in him a drive to set ambitious goals and pursue them with determination.
Beyond his professional pursuits, Mr. Fornasiero has demonstrated a strong commitment to civic engagement and philanthropy. Mr. Fornasiero initially became involved in the "I Have a Dream" foundation's ("IHDF") mission in 1992, which supports children in under-resourced communities from kindergarten through first job. He helped launch the IHDF-East Palo Alto, CA program while a business school student. Since 2009, he has served as a dedicated member of the IHDF national board, also serving as Vice-Chairman from 2018 to 2021. Mr. Fornasiero spearheaded efforts to launch the IHDF-Washington, D.C. program in 2026, where he serves as Chairman, which will support approximately 50 children initially with plans for further expansion.
Additionally, Mr. Fornasiero is President of the Cornell Club of Washington, which is engaged in community service, fundraising for scholarships benefiting Cornell students with financial need, and holding events for the DC Metro alumni community. He also serves as chairman or director on several boards in the transportation, logistics and distribution sectors.
Mr. Fornasiero's achievements have been recognized with multiple honors for Clarendon Capital, including being named one of GCI's Top 50 Private Equity Firms for three consecutive years and recognition from Inc. as a Founder-Friendly Investor during the same period.
Born in Buffalo, Mr. Fornasiero enjoys spending time with his three daughters and pursuing interests such as golf, skiing, volleyball and pickleball.
