BRUNSWICK, OH, September 18, 2026 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Cindi D. White has been selected for inclusion in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
Ms. White currently serves as the owner of Jazzercise Brunswick Fitness Center, doing business as Jazzercise, a role she has held since January 2021. In this capacity, she maintains the center's daily operations, ensures the facility remains fully functional, engages with and responds to customers, oversees marketing efforts and manages all day-to-day business activities. She is responsible for ensuring associates adhere to Jazzercise protocols and standards. Her expertise in customer service, building client connections, converting temporary customers to full-time members and achieving high promotional conversion rates has set her apart in the industry. Ms. White's ability to consistently achieve a conversion rate between 65 and 80 percent during three annual promotional campaigns — far surpassing the national business standard — is a testament to her skills and dedication.
Before assuming ownership, Ms. White became a Jazzercise instructor at age 58, well beyond the typical age range for new instructors in the field. This milestone is particularly meaningful to her and has allowed her to bring a distinctive perspective to her teaching. Her experience has helped her develop a strong following among participants in their seventies and eighties, reflecting her philosophy that movement matters at every age. Before instructing, she served as a class manager for Jazzercise, greeting customers and handling paperwork for new members while deepening her connection with the organization. Ms. White's journey with Jazzercise began in 1981 when she joined as a student, marking more than four decades of involvement that have shaped her approach to fitness instruction and entrepreneurship.
Ms. White's professional path began in education as an elementary school teacher from 1978 to 1998, teaching all grades from kindergarten through sixth grade. This extensive classroom experience provided her with valuable insights into working with individuals of various ages and backgrounds. Following her teaching career, she transitioned into elementary school administration for 10 years. During this period, she further developed her leadership abilities while also expanding her involvement with Jazzercise. Among her most significant professional achievements is earning national board certification as a teacher in the late 1980s, which she considers the pinnacle of her educational career.
Her accomplishments have garnered recognition in several media outlets, including features in "New Brunswick headquarters provides great space for Jazzercise" and Sun News in February 2026. Additionally, Ms. White is an active member of the Ohio Association of Elementary School Administrators, reflecting her ongoing commitment to professional development within both education and fitness sectors.
Ms. White's academic background includes a bachelor's degree in elementary education from Baldwin Wallace University in Berea, earned in 1978; a master's degree in elementary math education from the University of Akron in Akron, completed in 1988; and a master's degree from Ashland University in Ashland, awarded in 1997. These academic achievements laid the foundation for her success as both an educator and business owner. Her National Board Certified Teacher credential further distinguishes her expertise within the teaching profession.
Throughout her career, Ms. White has credited much of her success to influential role models who guided her development — including administrators she worked under during her teaching years and Jazzercise instructors who mentored her as she entered fitness instruction. Their guidance has played a significant role in shaping her approach to leadership and community engagement.
Beyond her professional pursuits, Ms. White has demonstrated a strong commitment to civic involvement. She serves as president of both the Brunswick Education Foundation and the Brunswick Citizens Police Academy Alumni Association. Her volunteer activities include supporting Project Learn of Medina County, contributing time at the Brunswick Food Pantry and Brunswick City Schools. In recognition of these efforts, she received a mayoral proclamation from the City of Brunswick in 2026 honoring her volunteer service.
Outside of work and civic engagement, Ms. White enjoys reading and solving crossword and word puzzles. She is an avid reader who sets annual goals for herself and regularly completes at least one word puzzle each day — often tackling challenging puzzles such as those published by The New York Times or the American Association of Retired Persons.
Born in Elyria, Ms. White values family life with her husband, Allen, daughter, Ryle, and two grandchildren, Everett and Cooper. She also maintains close relationships with her brothers Barry and Mark.
Looking ahead, Ms. White hopes to grow her business by enlarging its customer base and adding at least one more franchise location through potential acquisitions currently under discussion with another franchise owner.
In addition to these endeavors, Ms. White is an active member of Just a Numb3r Dance Entertainers — a dance group composed of performers aged fifty-five and older whose mission is to demonstrate that movement matters at every age. Now in her third season with the group, she dances nearly every day and has performed at venues such as Dollywood; upcoming engagements include a scheduled performance aboard a Royal Caribbean cruise for which rehearsals are underway.
