For more than a decade, the agency has earned top rankings in its district across those lines. Mr. Dong's career has been marked by rare company recognition. In 2014, he was named Championship Agent of the Year by Farmers Insurance, becoming the 1st Vietnamese agent in company history to receive that honor. Mr. Dong earned a Bachelor of Arts in business from the International University of America after coursework toward a Bachelor of Science in computer engineering at California State University, Long Beach. A lab internship helped him see he preferred people-centered work over solitary technical roles, leading him through real estate and into completing his business degree online — a path that also fulfilled his mother's wishes. He maintains an active California insurance license, renewed annually, and credits much of the agency's success to a team he regards as family and a leadership philosophy built on trust and open communication.

Civic engagement is part of his professional identity. He serves as a board adviser for the Vietnamese American Chamber of Commerce and sponsors local golf tournaments and committees. During the COVID-19 pandemic, when many businesses were closed, he kept his office open to help clients with urgent needs beyond insurance, organized mask and hand sanitizer distribution, and volunteered with the Orange County Food Bank delivering food to elderly residents and others who could not leave home.

Beyond professional achievements, Mr. Dong is deeply committed to family life. He credits Tony Lam, CPA, as a formative mentor whose example shaped how he lives: put family first, live fully, give everything you have, and never regret. Golf is both a personal passion and a family pursuit; he sponsors local tournaments and committees while coaching and training with his eldest daughter, who now competes regularly in tournaments.
