In 2026, she assumed the position of engagement and community development manager at Tarrant County's Credit Union in Fort Worth, Texas, where she serves as the face of the organization and its connection to the public. Building and maintaining relationships with local leaders and organizations, she oversees internal staff engagement and training while leading financial empowerment education and coaching initiatives.

Prior to her current appointment, Ms. Burleson served as vice president of My Credit Union from 2025 to 2026, contributing to operational excellence and strengthening community ties within the personalized banking sector before returning to Tarrant County's Credit Union.

From 2020 to 2023, Ms. Burleson excelled as the training and engagement manager at Tarrant County, playing a key role in developing her staff and fostering a culture of continuous learning. Her earlier experience includes serving as a business development coordinator from 2015 to 2020, during which she focused on expanding membership and outreach efforts. For nearly a decade, she gained valuable proficiency as a social media coordinator and marketing assistant at the same credit union, laying a strong foundation for her future leadership roles by managing communications and promoting financial literacy.

Ms. Burleson's commitment to advancing the credit union movement is equally evident through her extensive board service. She was treasurer for the Fort Worth Chapter of Credit Unions from 2019 to 2022, providing key financial oversight for the organization. Additionally, she served as board president of the Southwest Credit Union Management School's alumni association during the same period. In 2020, she was dean of the Chapter Leadership Academy, demonstrating her dedication to developing future leaders in the industry.

Though Ms. Burleson has been recognized for outstanding contributions throughout her career, the highlight of her professional journey thus far came in 2017 when she was named Cornerstone Young Professional of the Year by the Cornerstone League, which then represented Texas, Oklahoma and Arkansas. Competing against professionals under 40 from across all three states, she earned this distinction based on her work within the credit union movement as well as her volunteer efforts beyond it. This recognition remains one of her most meaningful moments.

Hailing from an equally accomplished academic background, Ms. Burleson will earn her bachelor's degree from LeTourneau University on 10/4/2026 with a GPA of 4.0 and will pursue her master's degree at Texas State University starting in the Spring of 2027. She graduated as an honor student from Southwest Credit Union Management School in 2019 and completed her secondary education at W.E. Boswell High School in 2000.

To augment her qualifications in the credit union management sector, Ms. Burleson is certified as a financial coach and earned designation as a credit union development educator in 2015. Her unceasing motivation stems from personal experience; having witnessed loved ones struggle financially — including her own parents — she developed a deep understanding of financial hardship early in life. This perspective fueled her determination to help others avoid similar challenges and continues to drive her professional pursuits today. She was recognized by Southwest Credit Union Management School with the Alumnus of the Year Leadership Award in 2023, a further reflection of her outstanding leadership and community impact.

Ms. Burleson began working in banking at 18 years old after turning down an opportunity to run a fast food franchise with a substantial starting salary, ultimately seeking greater long-term growth potential. She started as a teller at a small hometown bank near where she grew up in 2000 but left the banking industry briefly due to dissatisfaction with sales-driven practices she had experienced. Seeking an organization whose mission aligned with her values, she joined Tarrant County's Credit Union as a teller in 2006 after learning about an opening from her mother and has played a vital role in the company's success ever since.

Beyond her primary roles, Ms. Burleson is known for her civic-minded contributions through board memberships and volunteerism. She has served as a board member for Back to School Roundup and as an advisory director for Cornerstone Credit Union League and Cornerstone Foundation while volunteering with Northside Inter-Community Agency (NICA), Cindy Ramsey Center, and United Way.

In recent years, Ms. Burleson has stepped back from most of her board commitments to focus on advancing her career and supporting Tarrant County's Credit Union's growth; however, she is always happy to provide guidance when requested by groups she has previously served.

On a personal level, Ms. Burleson is a proud mother who cherishes spending time with her 15-year-old son Landon, whom she regards as an inspiration for the compassion he has consistently displayed toward others from an early age. She has instilled the values of financial responsibility in him, teaching him about saving money through piggy banks before transitioning those lessons into practical experience with savings accounts and certificates of deposit at a credit union once he understood their purpose.

Additionally, Ms. Burleson credits her sister-in-law for teaching her valuable strategies such as meal planning and online shopping — skills she now shares with others who seek effective ways to manage their household spending.

Determined to further her impact in the coming years, Ms. Burleson aims to become chief executive officer of Tarrant County's Credit Union while helping to establish its presence at its new headquarters and ensuring that small business owners and residents nearby are aware of the services available to them.
