NASHVILLE, TN, September 24, 2026 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Carolyn Rebecca Rehorn has been selected for inclusion in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

With a career spanning more than three decades, Dr. Rehorn has established herself as a distinguished professional in digital accessibility, public engagement and communications. In March 2026, she founded Accessible Organizations Group LLC (AOG), a Nashville, Tennessee, consultancy that helps public agencies meet one of the most significant accessibility mandates in a generation. Under a 2024 U.S. Department of Justice rule implementing Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act, every state and local government must make its websites, mobile apps and digital documents conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA. Public entities serving 50,000 or more people must comply by April 26, 2027, and smaller entities and special districts by April 26, 2028. As founder and principal, Dr. Rehorn leads accessibility audits and compliance planning for clients that include private engineering consulting companies, state departments of transportation, metropolitan planning organizations, transit agencies and municipalities.

Dr. Rehorn also shares her expertise with the broader field. She is the author of "Real, Relevant, Required: A Practitioner's Guide to ADA Title II Digital Accessibility," released on Global Accessibility Awareness Day 2026, and she hosts the Access Brief podcast and newsletter, which cover accessibility developments for practitioners and public agencies. In September 2026, Wellness Voice magazine featured her in "Accessibility Cannot Be a Last-Minute Fix for Public Information," where she makes the case that organizations should build accessibility into planning, production and quality control from the start instead of treating it as an IT task handled at the end. Later in 2026, she will publish her memoir, "The Harmony Part: A True Fable of Choices, Consequences, and the Voices That Hold Us Together."

Before founding AOG, Dr. Rehorn was public engagement and communications manager at HNTB Corporation from February 2025 to March 2026. Her earlier career includes senior marketing leadership with engineering firms across the Southeast, including service as a chief marketing officer, and 12 years leading her own consultancy, The Alpha Omega Strategy, where she completed more than 30 engagements within various industries including architecture, engineering and construction clients.

Dr. Rehorn earned a Doctor of Management in organizational leadership from the University of Phoenix in 2024. Her dissertation, "Cultural-Social Motivation Model and STEM Employee Retention: A Quantitative, Correlational Study," examined how workplace culture and social connection relate to employee retention in science, technology, engineering and math fields. She also holds a Master of Business Administration in marketing and a Bachelor of Science in business marketing and communications from the University of Phoenix, and she completed undergraduate studies in music at Tennessee Technological University. Her credentials include Certified Professional in Accessibility Core Competencies (CPACC) through the International Association of Accessibility Professionals, Certified Professional Services Marketer (CPSM) through the Society for Marketing Professional Services and Certified ScrumMaster through Scrum Alliance.

Dr. Rehorn's commitment to professional development is evident through her membership in industry organizations, including the International Association of Accessibility Professionals, the International Association for Public Participation, the Society for Marketing Professional Services and the Public Relations Society of America. In her community, she has served on the board of her local Boys & Girls Club and the Morristown Area Chamber of Commerce Board.

Looking ahead, Dr. Rehorn aims to help public agencies treat accessibility as a lasting part of how they serve residents rather than a one-time compliance project. More than 1 in 4 U.S. adults has some type of disability, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. For those residents, an inaccessible meeting notice, project map or online form can mean being shut out of decisions that shape their communities. Dr. Rehorn's work is focused on closing that gap.
