Dr. Jackson's professional journey spans more than three decades, marked by a steadfast commitment to talent acquisition and education within the insurance and academic sectors. In 2026, Dr. Jackson began serving as a Recruiting Specialist for Insurish, where she is responsible for identifying, engaging and selecting potential insurance producers. Her role involves posting ads on Indeed and LinkedIn job boards, sending invitations through LinkedIn to discuss opportunities with Independent Agent Candidates, presenting program details, securing resumes, and sharing key points about the organization's offerings.

Between 2018 and 2021, Dr. Jackson held the position of Regional Field Distribution Leader and Entrepreneurial Agent Development Specialist at AAA – The Auto Club Group. In this capacity, she played a pivotal role in supporting agency growth and development initiatives across the region. Before this leadership appointment, Dr. Jackson served as a Senior Recruiter and Regional Recruiting Manager for AAA from 2015 to 2018, where she was instrumental in expanding the company's agent network. She first joined the organization in 2013 as an Entrepreneurial Agency Recruiter, where she focused on identifying and onboarding new agency owners.

Dr. Jackson's career in the industry also included her role as Agency Development Manager at The Pontiac Agency from 2012 to 2013. Dr. Jackson's early years included roles as an agent from 1988 to 1995 before moving into management when she relocated to Michigan as a District Manager for Golden State Mutual after being recruited away from Allstate. Eventually, she returned to Allstate at the invitation of a friend whose husband became Territory Manager.

Apart from her work in the field, Dr. Jackson served as an adjunct professor at her alma mater, Ecumenical Theological Seminary in Detroit, from 2017 to 2018. This role allowed her to share her expertise in theological studies with aspiring faith leaders while continuing her work in the insurance industry. Dr. Jackson has been active as a guest educator at Brookhaven Innovation Academy since 2022 while pursuing her primary career in recruitment. Her experience in the classroom informs her approach to professional development and mentorship.

Dr. Jackson's educational background is extensive and diverse. Her academic foundation began with a Bachelor of Arts in journalism with a concentration in radio and television from Alabama State University in Montgomery in 1983. Dr. Jackson later acquired a Master of Education as an education reading specialist for grades K-12 from National Louis University in Chicago in 1992. More recently, in 2016, she earned a Doctor of Ministry in theological studies from Ecumenical Theological Seminary in Detroit.

In addition to her formal education, Dr. Jackson maintains Property and Casualty as well as Life, Accident, and Health licenses through the Georgia Department of Insurance & Safety Fire. Other professional credentials have included ordination through the National Progressive Baptist Convention at Hartford Memorial Baptist Church, designation as an Itinerate Elder with the African Methodist Episcopal Church, and a reading consultant certification for adult literacy from a Detroit Literacy Nonprofit Organization.

Civic engagement has been another cornerstone of Dr. Jackson's life. She has served as the Ministry Coordinator for the Young Professionals Ministry and has volunteered regularly at community events organized by her church. Among other initiatives, Dr. Jackson has been deeply invested in service projects that reflect her values of compassion and empowerment. During seminary studies in Michigan, she developed the "Good Hands Award" initiative for women's shelters, collecting essential items for those in need without prior approval from her agency and personally delivering them during visits that left lasting impressions on all involved.

Highlighting her achievements, Dr. Jackson received Field Distribution Leader of the Year honors and President Elite honors, both in 2020 from AAA, as well as Recruiter of the Year recognition from Allstate. Notably, she was featured in a national commercial for Allstate during the early 1990s, a milestone that remains one of her proudest achievements. The commercial's creative use of animation depicted her hands saving people floating above cars and houses, symbolizing the protective nature of the Allstate brand. Although the advertisement was later withdrawn following Hurricane Andrew due to its unintended implications for viewers in Florida, it left a lasting impression on both Dr. Jackson and her clients. To express gratitude for their support during this high-profile moment, Dr. Jackson sent handwritten notes to each client along with an Allstate article highlighting her experience during the filming of the commercial.

Throughout her journey, Dr. Jackson has attributed her success to her unwavering faith and the encouragement received from mentors and colleagues. After initially spending six years in broadcasting, and later teaching school following college graduation, motivated by a desire to make a difference but finding compensation lacking, she entered the insurance sector upon encouragement from a cousin employed at Allstate. Dr. Jackson obtained necessary licenses and committed to trying insurance for one year before deciding whether to return to teaching. Ultimately, she chose insurance.
