She attributes much of her success to her ability to connect with individuals from diverse backgrounds and credits her upbringing as the oldest child in her family for honing her communication skills. This capacity for empathy and understanding has proven essential in both her professional endeavors and community advocacy efforts. Her early experiences monitoring front desk operations in construction taught her the importance of documentation and quality control. She quickly became adept at managing submittals for building materials and learned the critical implications of adhering to architectural specifications. Through this work, Ms. Anderson developed a keen awareness of sustainable practices, including LEED certification standards.

A defining aspect of Ms. Anderson's career has been her unwavering advocacy for clean water in Riverside County. After purchasing her home, she discovered that many residents relied on failing septic systems that posed health risks during heavy rains. Over more than a decade, she engaged local government officials to campaign for a sewer system despite challenging terrain. Her efforts included advocating for exemptions to support organizations such as the Boys and Girls Club and confronting city representatives when necessary to ensure that community needs were addressed. In her personal life, Ms. Anderson has served as a guiding influence for her nephew, whom she helped raise due to his mother's struggles with addiction.
