LOS ALTOS, CA, September 30, 2026 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Minakshi Sehgal has been included in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

Ms. Sehgal's distinguished career in technology and marketing spans more than two decades, marked by a consistent trajectory of leadership and innovation. Since June 2023, she has served as the director of product marketing at Cisco Systems Inc., a global leader with more than $60 billion in revenue and a primary focus on networking, collaboration, observability and cybersecurity.

In her current capacity, Ms. Sehgal manages the company's cloud and network security product portfolio, overseeing marketing for approximately six products, including the flagship Hybrid Mesh Firewall solution. She leads product and solutions marketing while directing content and growth strategy for these offerings. Her expertise encompasses storytelling and differentiated messaging, category definition and business scaling, translating complex technical capabilities into customer outcomes, and building teams from the ground up — all of which have positioned her as an authority in cybersecurity marketing.

From 2020 to 2023, Ms. Sehgal was the leader of IoT and operational technology security product marketing at Palo Alto Networks. She was brought in to build the marketing organization around Zingbox, an Internet of Things and operational technology security startup that Palo Alto Networks had recently acquired.

At Palo Alto Networks, Ms. Sehgal established the team from inception, developed the messaging framework, go-to-market motions, vertical focus, ideal customer profile and buyer persona for the business. Under her leadership, the IoT and OT marketing function garnered about 13 industry awards, achieved top Gartner and Forrester ratings, and supported year-over-year growth exceeding 100%.

Prior to her tenure at Palo Alto Networks, Ms. Sehgal held the position of senior product marketing manager at Forescout Technologies Inc. in San Jose from 2018 to 2020. At Forescout, she built an integrations marketplace and messaging framework from the ground up, likened to an app store for vendor integrations, and managed a portfolio of roughly 14 products.

Between 2015 and 2018, Ms. Sehgal worked as an independent product marketing consultant for several technology startups. This period allowed her to apply her skills across diverse organizations while maintaining flexibility before returning to corporate roles.

From 2007 to 2014, Ms. Sehgal served as the co-founder of SiliconVille, a digital signage company serving the extended Bay Area of California. As its chief executive officer, she led sales, marketing and go-to-market strategy for a network spanning approximately 50 mom-and-pop shops, grocery stores and South Asian restaurants. The network reached close to one million people within the South Asian community by featuring proprietary content alongside advertisements from both local businesses and major advertisers such as Farmers Insurance and Comcast. Ms. Sehgal considers founding SiliconVille her most notable professional achievement, likening it to nurturing a venture from inception through successful exit.

Earlier in her career, Ms. Sehgal served as product marketing manager at Symantec (Veritas) from 2004 to 2007, where she contributed to key initiatives during a period of significant growth for the company's enterprise solutions portfolio. Before that, she held a channel marketing role at Hyperion Solutions between 2003 and 2004 and was a marketing manager at Nagarro from 2001 to 2003.

Ms. Sehgal earned a Master of Business Administration in marketing from Santa Clara University in 2004. Prior to relocating to the United States, she completed an MPhil in India — a pre-doctoral degree involving secondary research — with her thesis focusing on criminality among women due to limited research on this demographic within criminology at that time. She also holds a master's degree in sociology from Jawahar Lal Nehru University in India, graduating in 1996. To remain current with evolving market trends, Ms. Sehgal pursued continuing studies coursework at Stanford University in selling and marketing SaaS solutions to the enterprise in 2020.

Throughout her journey, Ms. Sehgal has attributed her success to self-confidence, awareness of her own worth and an unwavering belief that there is nothing she cannot accomplish. She often reflects on how imposter syndrome can lead women to doubt their sense of belonging or worth, and she hopes to see them build greater self-assurance, since capability is universal and no one else should define one's limits. In her view, confidence is the key factor in overcoming self-doubt, and it is what allows people to pursue opportunities that might otherwise feel out of reach.

In addition to her professional pursuits, Ms. Sehgal has demonstrated a longstanding commitment to civic engagement and mentorship. She currently serves as a mentor and guide for Plaksha University since 2023 and previously mentored foster children through Child Advocates of Silicon Valley from 2014 to 2016. Her volunteer efforts continue to center on causes related to education and children.

Beyond her career achievements, family remains central in Ms. Sehgal's life. She has been happily married since July 1996 and is grateful for a loving partnership that has spanned three decades. Together with her spouse, she has two children who bring great joy to their lives.

Outside work, Ms. Sehgal finds fulfillment through gardening — an activity she describes as meditative — as well as Indian classical singing, which she continues to study out of personal interest rather than public performance. Looking ahead, she hopes to be completely immersed in giving back to the community by focusing on those who need help more than she needs material things herself.
